Just did about 1400mi in a Turo rental Wagoneer Series II and figured I'd share my take on that coming from a JT Mojave owner.

Wagoneer Good:
- Huge, good for trips
- Hurricane, the motor Jeep should have given all the JT's :(
- Exhaust sounds perfect
- Factory wireless CarPlay

Wagoneer Bad:
- Huge, it's just huge
- Suspension, like a boat taking a turn
- Tech is so glitchy, like really.
- Materials are good, but not Wagoneer price good

Long story short, it's not fun to drive every day but was incredible for a long trip. Not selling my JT anytime soon!

I've been on the fence with trading in my JT for a WS considering a 2022 is as low as $55k right now. We moved from rooftop tents to a camper trailer, have 2 large dogs, and need more space for our lifestyle. We don't rock crawl nor run trails on the weekends, and the trails we normally take are rated 5 or less.

I rented a WS and LOVED it and it's comforts. I'm actually thinking of stripping down the JT a bit and renting it out on Turo since I don't use it as a daily driver and we're moreso casual weekenderlanders.

Makes a ton of sense. It’s way bigger. I don’t need it day to day, but at $55k that’s a lot of car. What trim? The second row captains are a must I think.

It was a Series 2. I'm not needy when it comes to options, my only wants are that it has 4x4/adjustable suspension and captains chairs. I've been bouncing around all the full size, real 3rd row SUVs out there and the only ones I gravitated towards were the WS and a Tahoe. The WS has a limited slip diff so while it's not a full on locker it's proven to get itself out when articulating.

Dealers were offering me $15k more than what I owe for the JT and I was going to just drop that on a WS. Considering the market has been slowing down, I'm fearful the longer I wait the less I'll make....buuuut that could mean also a cheaper WS.

My biggest concern is lack of aftermarket support as I wanted to install a front winch and beefier tires. The 2024 Overland trim from EJS looked good but that's a brand new vehicle and I'm not ready to drop what would look like $90-$100k for that.

Funny, I thought of same thing, would love to put larger tires on one and was not finding a lot for lifting or winch mounts, etc., anything.
