The business case has always been both, which is why pretty much anyone who's driven even a dual motor model 3 level of EV is a fan. The instant torque and consistent pull at pretty much any speed is amazing. Even this REEV wagoneer will destroy the regular wagoneer on both fronts. Much better performance and much better fuel economy because the engine only runs at maximum efficiency or not at all.
