JT Tube Doors: Ask, discuss, show, and tell.

Spring and summer are upon us and for those not in forever warm weather locations this means doors off and potentially tube door season.

I've noticed a few options out there and would love this to be a place for people to discuss tube doors. Pros and cons of having them. Write reviews (with links) of products purchased. And weather or not to have them at all.

Some can be pretty pricey and their worth (aside from aesthetic) can be questionable. Would love to hear anything as in the next few months I plan on making a decision!

From my cursory research I would have to agree...on BOTH fronts sadly haha. Really hoping there is someone out there with a set they love that don't come with the hefty price tag.

I purchased the Mopar doors when I got the vehicle since I received 25% off at the time. Have yet to put time on but I am excited to do so. I think they look the best, but that's me. What I really want now are the vinyl skins the zip around them that I saw on a couple of SEMA YouTube videos from this past year. I have yet to see them released, but that combo looks perfect to me. I'll post pics once the weather turns, but 6" of snow expected by morning tells me it won't be anytime soon.

Couldn’t agree more. I do like the mirrors I added.

That said, I saw a YouTube video and the doors in the video looked to have mirrors. Here’s the link. It’s at about 50 seconds in.

Disclaimer: the guy talking is annoying as hell. The title is 2019 Gladiator. A JT with 35’s couldn’t be his daily driver, etc. Trust me and turn it off after the mirror cameo.

The wrangler JPP package releasing soon has the tube doors with mirrors as well. So maybe they are coming back

The Mopar tube doors do not do much for me. They are too busy for just simple round tube doors and not busy enough for an "advanced" (for lack of a better term) door. If that makes any sense. I do like the hinges on them though.

For simple doors I like the Motor City tube doors ($490 front / $490). Very clean and simple looking:

For the more advanced tube doors, I like the Warn tube doors ($427 front / $390 rear). Another cool feature of these is the arm rest pad that you can get for them. What is not cool is the price for all four! lol

For $490 I was ready to buy a set, but sadly that looks like its only for the front two. Full set is $980.

I had the Rugged Ridge tube doors for my JK. I like those, but now it seems that manufactures want to put solid panels on portions of the doors. Don't know if I like that look.

What's the benefit of tube doors vs. going door-less? Sense of security? Aesthetics? State/local laws requiring doors?
