Much appreciated. Will keep my fingers crossed the timing works out, otherwise if something like this happens again with more notice for me I will 100% pencil it into the schedule.

Also looking to join Whistling Pines so perhaps I'll see y'all there too. Will be speaking to a guy there about some NFA purchases that I'm interested in making now that I'm in place for an extended period of time!
DCF from Castle Rock recently bought Pines out but the Pines employees at the east location have remained mostly the same and they are good dudes. They've hosted some good training like Ronin Tactics (Tu Lam lives local) and even have USPSA night every week. Let me know if you want to get some range therapy on

Looking for a little insight installing the GMRS today. No cigarette lighter, so I’ll be wiring it to one of the 6 wires under the passenger’s side footwell. Have 4 wires for the auxiliary switches, an ignition wire, and one straight to the battery. Which would be the best option? I see most of the videos using the battery wire.

Man, I apologize. I thought I had answered this for you.

No apologies, this is just my OCD kicking in trying to figure out why everyone uses the battery direct wire…

Bummed I won't be able to join y'all this upcoming week, but wanted to let you guys know that i just went up with a group and we hesitated attempting Mineral Creek on our way through Engineer Pass.
We successfully accomplished Mineral Creek. Two friends in near stock Tacoma TRD Offroads (one with a small suspension upgrade but still stock tires and one on 33s.) And another buddy with a Lexus LX470.
I'm in a stock JTR, only used my rear locker once to limit any potential wheel spin. But the entire trail is doable in a stock Gladiator Rubicon. Just be prepared for quite a few skid scrapings and choosing a good line up a few of the obstacles.
Hope y'all have a blast!

Skids always help. Group trip. Everyone starts and finishes together. You get the least bit nervous you ask for a spotter. You will not slow us down. I'll assume you have food and know to lock food in truck at night.
