Does there seem to be a difference in turn around times for different models? IE - Rubicons take longer because they have specialized parts, or maybe they are quicker? It seems like build times would be effected by shortages, but not sure which would be harder/take longer to build. I read a comment that decals, of all things, were one of the biggest factors slowing down certain builds at this time.
Just ordered mine on Saturday. Was told anywhere from 4-weeks to 6-months, which is somewhat disheartening.
I haven't seen anything to indicate different lead times based off trim. Where your back east your odds are in your favor but it's hit it miss even then.

Looking at multiple posts in at least 3 threads, I also see nothing indicating it's the "trim". The only thing indicating a delay due to a very specific trim parts is the Mojave decal, and that's weird, and I wonder if there's more to it. (but it could be that simple.......)
There are people who have ordered all options and gotten them in a month, others order something similar and wait 3 months.
What's different between the trim levels - hoods in some cases, springs in all cases, axles in some cases, wheels in all cases, tires, seats perhaps, dash (compare Rubicon to Overland or Sport)....... it's all speculation because no one has gone through and compared specific trims or features in the vehicles received quickly (1 month) to the trims and features ordered with those waiting 3 or 4 months.
Until someone gathers information, finds the pattern, or at least recognizes some pattern, we're trying to find reasons - we may never find without some work other than guessing.

Frankly, what I've observed so far is that Overlands appear to be waiting - I've not seen them delivered quickly, but even if I did, one would have to account for shipping and location. So it's more of a matter of build date vs date received.

Congratulations on placing your order. Don't be disheartened on the timing or not knowing. Dealers will warn you it could take 6 mos to prep you for the worst and hopefully best the date. My son received his in 2 mos when the dealer cautioned him at ordering that his MT may take 6 mos. Mine is in framing and should be 3 mos, order to delivery. Enjoy the forum and focus on the mods and fantasizing all the possibilities for your new toy. As a jeep owner, it is about the journey

I ordered 3/26. It was built on time (4/28) and has been in JS ever since. Ordered a Mojave and I am seeing there is a decal shortage? Dumb. I don't care if they write "Mojave" with a Sharpie across the hood...send me my rig! (Well, I kinda care)

Ordered on 4-25. Just got an email from Kent at Petersons and said mine was in paint. Not sure how long from there to cross the finish line, but I'm happy that the process is underway!

The body is painted or being painted, it will be inspected, flaws corrected, and then shipped to Jeep (all of this on the same campus) to be merged with the frame and drive train.
It shouldn't be long now unless some accessory ties it up. Exciting, isn't it? Dang, I recall my first Gladiator process, I was like a kid at Christmas (or whatever holiday your personal beliefs take seriously)

It is exciting, but I'm tempering expectations. My first Jeep order a couple of years ago was at the beginning of the pandemic. It was a five month process for a number of reasons. I got myself in the "island time" frame of mind for this go-around and it's really helped.

P.S.- If anyone on this forum deserves their order to be filled quickly, it's you!

Just placed my order for a fully loaded 2022 Rubicon in Gobi through Gupton.

Ordered on 5/4, VON on 5/5. Still waiting on VIN. Was told 12-20 weeks for delivery. Hoping it will come sooner!
Matt, looks like we're in this together somewhat. I ordered exactly 1 week behind you, also from Gupton. Also, an (almost) fully loaded Gobi Rubicon. Hope they don't get our orders confused... I just got my VIN and VON from Renee today and now the wait for both of us. Congrats on your order and who knows, maybe we'll pickup on the same day.

Congrats on your order as well! As of yesterday it was still in the scheduling phase according to Jeep chat.

What did you order? I wonder why you haven't moved from D yet.
I'm wondering, too...........
Another Overland. Pretty much all options (not the dual top group, but with body color hard top)
My luck they are out of blue paint and it's on back order LOL

I think I'll try jeep chat again after while. Dealer hasn't heard anything new and the system that is supposed to text when there's a status change isn't working. At least not for me.

Read an article last night saying that a couple of the auto makers as well as others are saying the supply chain issues are getting worse again, not better, and the price of diesel and inflation in general is making it even worse.
