Hmm, that seems really off base. Its going to have so much low end torque that unless the vehicle itself is significantly heavier ..... I just couldn't see the towing capability being less.

Not sure it is official yet but TFL Truck is reporting 6000lb towing for diesel. It is not the torque but limitation with cooling fins it seems.

Met Rob Trachtman 8/7 Friday at Tuttle Click, Irvine and placed my order for a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon. Stingray grey, six speed manual, cargo and auxiliary group. That's it, 6-8 weeks.

Did Rob tell you that? AFAIK, manual will take longer. Mine is a 7/29 order with auto and I don't have a build date yet. It is in D status not D1.

For Wranglers the 2021 orders opened June 5 with an estimated production date of August 10. They started building them today. So pretty accurate on their estimate.

I pulled up a schedule of "Job #1" production dates for various products and the 08.10 start date for JL's was there, but showed "Job #1" for Gladiators 2021 MY to be 08.24

Well that’s probably better info than I got! And yet this morning when my salesman checked the status of my ‘21 order it’s still showing D1 with a build date of 8/19. I suppose that’s gonna change now.

all bets are off then. I was just pulling it from a supplier site that listed the "Job #1" dates. Now you have me questioning also. Hmmm...We'll find out in two weeks.

I finally ordered diesel JTR after waiting a year. Checked around once they were actually available for best deal and was able to get 12.6% off with the 1% Treadlightly discount. (11.6% if I don't use in-house financing) at local dealer
Not going to show pricing in case dealership's starting price has to change but it was ~ 4k under the MSRP listed in the '21 order code guide. Talk to Mike Clinnin at Mall of Georgia CDJR in Buford. Extremely nice guy! No negotiations required. Provided list below of what I wanted and had quote in < 15 minutes ! On paper the quote was 7% but actual numbers, their MSRP start price vs final was 12.6%, just add taxes, tags, and title fees after that.
So what if I have to wait for build and delivery, I doubt if very many diesels will even be on dealership lots when mine shows up.

I have a '15 Ram 1500 diesel with 80k and will NEVER go back to gas. Love the 3.0L and never have had an issue so before anyone comments, if there is an issue with the updated version, so what. That is what the warranty is for.
Oh, wife has '18 JKUR and we love it too!

I ordered on August 3rd, got my VIN and VON on August 7th... and that's it. I got nothing. I'm sad and dejected. My dealer won't talk to me. Sniff sniff.

Sure hope these numbers start to show data when I spam the Build Sheet or Window Sticker links soon.
