The lack of power may be a shock but that's not why we buy Jeeps is it lol.Just ordered from @Koons_of_Tysons_Corner!!
coming from a 600hp Toyota Tundra to my first ever jeep.
GLADIATOR RUBICON 4X4
Customer Preferred Package 24R
3.6L V6 24V WVT Engine Upg I W/ESS
8-Spd Auto 850RE Trans (Make)
Limited Edition Gobi Clear Coat
Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats Black
4:1 Rock-Trac HD Full Time 4WD Sys
Cold Weather Group
Auxilary Switch Group
Mopar Spray in Bedliner
Black 3-Piece Hard Top
This was exactly how I built mine except I got LED lights and those awful silver rims by default with Max Tow package.Just ordered yesterday! So excited! I have been eyeballing these for a couple years now and just made the choice to sell my truck for a nice down payment. I love my TJ, and just like it, the Gladiator just feels all kinds of right.
There are a few things I wish I could have ordered, but not all items are available with all trims, etc..
Sport S
- Sarge Green - after seeing it in person, it is on point!
- Gasser
- TAN interior - I haven't seen any tan interiors but black is just too much black, I hope its a dark tan
- Satin black grille
- Spray in beadliner
- Cold weather group
- Popular equipment package - apparently this was required
- 8.4 and premium audio
- Safety group - apparently this is the 'active safety group'
- Advanced safety group - apparently this is the 'adaptive cruise control'
- Max-tow package - this was a requirement so I can have the same axles as the Rubicon and add my own lockers later, also to have the door sticker show higher ratings so insurance doesn't get funny....this was only available on the Sport S
- Selec-Trac full time - after some members here helped put out some good info, I decided to go this route, hopefully it works good for some decent off highway needs
Options not chosen
- The LED package was NOT available. Funny because when the dealer went through the build just a week earlier LED was available...must be either a change in their options or parts availability issues. But it's ok because I can install my own LED headlights later, and the tail lights are supposedly LED anyway due to the max-tow and advanced safety groups
- I opted to skip the trail rail system so that I can install my own wiring and use a better quality inverter and DC/DC charger from Redraw
- I also skipped the aux switches as I can get custom labeled switches and install them in a factory appearance so instead of just saying 'aux 1-3' they are actually labeled with the appropriate item they are switching.
- Side steps of any kind were skipped as well so that these can go on right away and I'm not removing a factory installed item that will go in the trash - https://www.quadratec.com/p/rock-slide-engineering/gen-iii-step-sliders-gladiator-jt-bd-ss-300-jt4
- One of the first things to change will be wheels and tires. Factory tires are noisy and not suitable for off highway. I will be going 33's - so basically the same as Rubicon, just need to figure out the right wheel offset needs.
Dealer said it could be 6 months to receive! Thats awful long - hopefully its half that timeframe. I also need to spray the underside and frame in and out with some Eastwood products as nobody in my area does any sort of undercoating to prevent against rust anymore. Kinda weird actually.
Very excited for this truck. My last truck was awesome but just didn't fit my needs any longer and was too big - this fits ALL my needs perfectly!
yea. The pursuit of speed is gone for a while. Trying to live at a slower pace these days. Always wanted a jeep with a spot to throw a dead deer. The lack of power may be a shock but that's not why we buy Jeeps is it lol.
I'm selling my Ram SRT10 to make room for the Glad.
Welcome! My first Jeep too! 2022 JT Mojave Too!Hi all. New to the forum and just ordered a JT Mojave. Been driven Fords most of my life and this is my first jeep. Looking forward to the experience.

Moved to D1 status and I have my sticker as of 3/8. Should arrive soonOrdered my loaded 3.6L Rubicon on 2/12. Estimated ship date of 3/05 and currently sequenced for production. Sucks I won't be home to get it until May.....
Do you think it's because of the manual trans?Ordered February 25, two weeks ago, and still "in scheduling". I see that some begin building right away. I looks like mine will be a long wait.
JT Rubicon
6-speed manual
Bright White
Aux switch group
Advanced safety group
Grab handle kit
LED lighting group
Cold weather group
Trailer two package
All-weather slush mats
Black 3-piece hard top
Hardtop headliner
Steel front bumper
Roll-up tonneau
Black satin grille
Spray in bedliner
Door sill guards
Locking lug nuts
Safety group (mandatory)
Beats me? There are some on here where it hasn't made much difference. My dealer says about 2% MTs, so you'd think they'd have some on hand. Jeep Chat can't tell me.Do you think it's because of the manual trans?
" he LED package was NOT available. Funny because when the dealer went through the build just a week earlier LED was available...must be either a change in their options or parts availability issues." I ordered on Feb 25, but has been in holding for a week. Maybe because I had to get LED light package because I got the steel front bumper.Just ordered yesterday! So excited!
