Just saved $17k on a new Mojave

I’ve been test driving one for 3 years . Dealer didn’t have good news about the rough idle, said it will ev need a new motor, but it’s under warranty. I saw the steep discounts at the Florida dealers, and, it’s going on next Friday. First modification is 35’s. The dealer is taking the 33’s and putting them on my trade in, and putting Venom Terra Hunter 35/10.5/17’s on my new one. The deal was too good to pass up. $65k sticker price, with $17k in discounts and incentives in Orlando Florida. Better still is that they are coming to my house near Tampa and bringing my trade in back to the dealer, doing the tire swap, and then driving the new one back to Tampa for me. Not stepping foot in the dealership.

I think that was the problem with their jacked up pricing model. Most people are not off-roaders. While someone who wheels on the weekends cares more about lockers and axles, most buyers care about painted fenders and power seats. Jeep sold 90K Gladiators in 2021. How many of those people actually took their JT off road? Once pricing went up, that number dropped to 42K in 2024 (not sure if that's a final number).

While I appreciate that my truck can go off-roading, I do understand that there's people out there who just think it looks cool. A lot of people.

I got a similar deal with $18K off plus they gave me $6K higher for my trade in than Carvana offered. I wish mine would have had steel bumper group instead of all the “safety” features that I have turned off for the most part.

Yeah if I had to replace mine for some reason........its cheaper to have my local body shop paint up some fenders than add another 4-5 digits to the price........stupid, just stupid
