twice now i’ve had an issue with the key fob on my 22 it won’t recognize it…i end up opening the door with the key and sounding the alarm and have to push the button with the fob… strange today it even posted a memo on the dash stating that the fob was not found after i started driving... it was then ok when i get home is it a fob battery issue, or maybe the fob got too cold (it was in the high 20's and warmed up once I was inside the truck?

I had the same thing happen with the fob on my 2020 a few years ago. The first signs of the battery going were as you describe when the fob spent an hour or two out in the cold in a backpack. This may sound over the top, but if the truck is under warranty, I'd have the dealer replace the battery. And look carefully at the gap between the two halves of the fob to see if it is fully closed when you take it in (take a picture!). I carefully replaced my own fob battery when my truck was under warranty, and the two halves wouldn't seal without leaving a largish gap. (There's a thread on this started by someone else.) The local dealer couldn't get the fob to seal either, and ended up denying a warranty claim on it, claiming I must have broken a tab. Jeep Cares would not intervene. I ended up getting a JT Designs fob case, but the whole deal was a headache. It is worth noting that when I had the original fob completely apart, I could see clearly that all of its tabs were intact and undamaged, despite what the dealer said. If the dealer can't get your fob back together after they replace your battery, I doubt they will be able to wriggle out of replacing the fob.

Replacing the battery would be my first step.

I have had similar situations. One is in a plaza that has a cell phone tower nearby. My key fob would not work. I was about to go to the dealership but was told by a tenant in the complex all vehicle in the place have the issues because of the tower.

It could be batteries as well, just keep an eye out on the environment where you park.

My wife's '18 Compass gives a warning on the dash when the fob battery is low. I guess they did away with that in more recent models. One of the nanny features I actually appreciated.:(

I had this issue as well. It happened after prolonged time out in the cold. Never happened again so I assume the fob is just not very cold tolerant.
