Late availability stuff, what’s typical?

As much as I’m dying to place my order ASAP, the colors I want are all late availability colors.
Also, I’d much prefer the diesel but of course that’s late availability too.

For those of you who were around for the JL release, how long did “late availability” turn out to be? Are we talking 1-2 months? Or 1-2 years?

Although, I don’t think we think it’s going to follow a similar pattern.
Pricing sounds like it’s coming out before the ordering banks open.
Also, there are rumblings in the rumor mill that the late availability colors may not be so late after all....

Take it all with a grain, or two, or three, of pink himalayan salt...

Thanks for that thread. If that is even nearly true then it'll be months before I can get my color. Might as well pick a new color I guess. Red seems okay.
Any speculation on the diesel release date? Do we know exactly which diesel motor they'll go with? The prospects of a high-torque diesel really make me hesitant to place an order for a gas motor. Everything has to be complicated.
