Good morning/afternoon!

First of all, this community seems awesome. I've been lurking for about a week now and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone's different builds and ideas revolving around the Gladiator.

I have seen a few others going through the same thing, but I am cancelling my Bronco order and moving forward with the Gladiator. I thought it would be cool to try to be a first mover on something, but the excitement has warn off. I have had 3 wranglers in my life and miss the family and the experience.

I am trying to not duplicate some questions by using the search function, so apologies in advanced if I re-ask a common question.

My rig will be used for some light trail riding, camping, and my "toy". I live in Wilmington, NC, so I want it to be good in the sand but also the mountains. I have my eyes set on a MOJAVE. I'm looking at this overall build.

1.) Mojave owners, how are you liking the trim? Any buyers remorse?
2.) Can you fit 35's on a stock Mojave with no rubbing? I don't want to take away from the awesome stock stuff.
3.) Soft top - historically i have always had a soft top, if you're a current owner, do you think it's better to buy w/ hard top and purchase aftermarket soft top or vice versa?
4.) At this point, I've waited 13 months for a vehicle, so is it worth waiting for a 2022?

Again, thanks for all the information and Happy Sunday.

Cheers

I can’t answer them all but:
35s fit stock
I prefer hard top with the sunrider quick flip soft top part.

if not messing with suspension, you will love the Mojave!
Thanks for the answer.
Definitely don't want to touch the suspension so that's great news. Thanks!

Welcome..
1. NO REMORSE The Trim is fabulous..
2. Dlr said yes on 35s with some minor rub at full lock turns. they did not say where and knew I was going to put on 35s off my JKU mounted on American Racing Legend ATX which have 4.5" backspace.
3. I went hard top.. had a soft top on the JKU traded in & had no issues with Soft either; the factory soft top worked very well.
4. IMO if you can order a 2021 (I asked my dealer on Friday when I picked up my Mojave and he said he could still order BUT the window is Closing .. SOON. A 2022 could be an Oct/Nov build.

5. YES ON Mojave.. with the 8spd.. GREAT JEEP

We have so few options for aftermarket soft top. If you're planning on getting one I'd look at the soft top that we just got from SunTop. Many of us don't like the aesthetics of the factory soft top for the man bun look. I also don't like it because it feels like it would be a mini drag chute on an already not so great fuel economic vehicle. Other than that though the people that have it say they like it so...

I personally only have the hard top and I just take it all the way off when I get a good stretch of days I can keep it and the doors off. Not sure I would want the rear surrounds on still. If I want to on normal days I just pop the freedom panels off and roll the windows down, that's good enough. I just put them in my bed under my cover and go in less than 2 mins.

1.) Mojave owners, how are you liking the trim? Any buyers remorse? A: Love my Mojave. Zero buyers remorse. I did swap out my Mojave hood for a Sport hood because I prefer the classic hood. That is the only part of the trim package I didn't like.
2.) Can you fit 35's on a stock Mojave with no rubbing? I don't want to take away from the awesome stock stuff. A: Yes. I did. Got 35x11.5 Toyo Open Countrys. Zero rub. No need to lift. Keeps the fantastic stock Mojave suspension.
3.) Soft top - historically i have always had a soft top, if you're a current owner, do you think it's better to buy w/ hard top and purchase aftermarket soft top or vice versa? A: You couldn't pay me enough to get a hard top. The soft top is 40% of the reason I own a Jeep. I actually feel sad when I drive by other Jeep owners trapped in their hard tops on nice days.
4.) At this point, I've waited 13 months for a vehicle, so is it worth waiting for a 2022? A: Don't wait too long! Life is too short! Enjoy your new Jeep when she does finally arrive.

Thanks for taking the time to write all this up. That's great to know about the tire's and I totally agree on the top.

Had soft tops, had hard tops. LOVE the quality of the soft tops on gladiators. It is tight and quiet, nothing like the older JKU's.

You're going to love the Mojave. It's a great trim if you don't plan on changing out shocks. You can actually fit 37's on aftermarket wheels or small spacers with stock and no rub unless you disconnect the sway bar.
