I have not checked mine, so if built Dec 20 2020 what will be the stamp?
The axle assembly date may not always match the truck build date. But Dec 20 would be 354.

Julian date is simply the day (count) of the year.

So then the day portion is the actual number of days that have passed in the 365 day calendar if I read this correctly. This means paying attention to leap years as well I presume?
That's right.

Around 30 days before MDH in days of year.

Edit: My date of manufacture is 9-06, my code is 220-1 ( 8-8-2020 )
That's probably the date the differential was assembled. It would then be shipped to axle assembly plant. So transit times, etc

This is where the date that should be close to MDH date is. Not sure what the 8 digits to the left are for, but the 0346 would be 2020 Dec 12

Well I looked earlier and didn't see it, so after your picture I looked and its extremely hard to read and my numbers are upside down. I flipped the pic, but is yours upside down?

Yes. But the axle date cannot be after the truck build date. When I do restorations for AMC the parts were GENERALLY made the month before or month of vehicle production. A car built in late December 69 can have accessories made in early December 69 or November but you won't see dates any farther apart and generally they are 2 to 4 weeks.

I don't have my jeep right now so I can't share my manufacture date but a Gladiator Diesel with ~20K miles had a transmission (impeller seal) leak and an axle leak.

30 day backorder on the axles right now.

I took my 21 Gladiator Willys in for an oil change and to replace a malfunctioning gauge cluster that was intermittently turning shades of pink,

During the inspection the techs found the passenger rear axle seal is leaking and they will have to replace the axle.

Part is backordered and they don’t have a date for me yet.

Bummed out but not surprised.

Build is 3/21 with 6,000 miles.
