Welp, just checked mine based off the number of reports. Its looks small but could easily turn into a big issue. What do you think? 2021 Sport S

I didn't notice mine until recently. It's obviously been going on for awhile now. I still don't have any visible drips on the ground, so it's not leaking too bad yet.

Take it in. Jeep needs to be made aware so they can track numbers, build dates, axle types and more. If you let it go - that's one less that know about and then if it gets worse it contaminates your brakes and.......... yeah, I'd take it to the dealer.

Thank you and I agree, when I took a 2nd look, it looks like it dripped into bottom of rim and sand covered it up. It looks worse than the first time I looked at it

Update: Appointment Thur Sept 9. Service department said they may just replace the seal, but won't know until they actually look at it. If they just replace the seal it will be done that day. If they replace axle then it will have to be ordered and I would be released to drive until it comes in. I brought up warranty and he said it should be covered (they haven't actually looked at it yet) so fingers crossed they don't pull one over on me and void it.

Any help you can be I would appreciate @JeepCares.
feel free to send us a private message, ScottLars. We'd be happy to discuss further.

Update on mine. Got it back home today. @JeepCares really pushed the parts for It to get done. Down time was right at one month.

Also, parts are not available for an oil change!!!! Whaaaaa!!!!!!! No oil and no filters.

FWIW, I have seen leaking seals on many types of vehicles and motorcycles completely fixed by using aftermarket seals that are slightly thicker in height (height when laying on a flat, even surface) . OEM seals wouldn't fix the leak or would come back after so many miles. I have to do this to a few things in the past and it 100% fixed the leak.

If the replacement OEM parts are not lasting, I would look into that option.

I think my odometer is at around 5,500ish miles. So far mine is still bone dry. I did open up my vent cap on day 1 after delivery for whatever it's worth.

My 2021 was built on 9-03-2020, a very early 2021. My axle has this stamped into diff cover.
Jeep Gladiator Leaking axle seal? 20210909_092834

Mine is a Max Tow. Can someone with a leaking Max Tow see if their's has the same stamping? Also post your MDH.

Edit: Curious if it has "REV-A"

Edit 2: To clarify mine is not leaking.

Latest update this morning:
Dealer checked it out this morning. They are going to do new axle. Could not give me time frame due to backorder. Releasing me to drive it until then. Also said would be warranty, so that's a relief.

I'm still waiting on my visit to the dealership to even look at mine. I discovered mine leaking almost 2 weeks ago, I scheduled the next appointment block available which was 9/13-9/17 nearly 3 weeks out. Completely unbelievable. My appointment is 9/17 and then I imagine it will be a few more weeks or more after that for parts.

I'm glad to hear so many people are getting it fixed with little argument from the dealerships it seams at least. I replaced my 255/70r18 tires with 275/70r18 tires and I'm hoping they don't make a stink. I don't think they will but, you never know. I went ahead and also filed a report on the NHTSA website too. The more that do increase the likelihood of Stellantis, formerly FCA, to open a recall on this issue. The fact there is even a chance of brake failure from the oil should leave them with little choice.

I have Rubicon take off wheels and tires on my Sport S diesel. Also have Jeep Performance Parts (Mopar) 2" lift kit I installed myself. They didn't say anything about either of those and told be it will be covered under warranty.
