2020 jeep gladiator overland -I have since around July 2021 still well under factory warranty with only about 27k miles given jeep every chance to fix this issue. Case 82610867. I have taken the vehicle to the dealer at least 5 times. had a rain expert etc. I started out with a small leak but nonetheless a leak on the driver's side front top corner of the door. They told me parts were back ordered.

We got the parts months later and after the first attempt to fix, I then had still not only the leak on driver's side but also the passenger side. Car went back in for all new seals around doors and still leaked to the point where the body shop manager said it still leaked and he could not fix it. He even said he would be my witness if Jeep did not take care of me.What did jeep in my case say-- take it in again and we will have it sent to a water expert. I did that- their first conclusion was the freedom panels were not tight enough- which I thought at time was BS but continued to have hope. Days later it leaked again both side ( July 2022) and they wanted it back yet again so I said not til end of summer due to so much time in past being without car during prior attempts and only sometimes given a loaner.

I brought it in again for fix in early Sept 2022 and they said we found the issue... the previously replaced top of the windshield seal was bad so they did that one again and this was again done at the water expert. I After the seal was replaced the dealer called me and said good news and bad news seal was done and leak on one side was better but they needed longer to fix the other side-- and then I was told it was loose freedom panel again-- again I thought BS but had hope. They had the vehicle 8 days. I get it back first rain it is like a water pistol shooting in car at a 45 degree angle from the rear top corner of the passenger side front door when I break.-- how was that not tested is beyond me.

I have for 6 mos been asking Jeep assigned case manager about an extended warranty as I have no clue what the water sitting on my floor boards making my vehicle carpet stink is doing or has done or to what extend when it drips over the door switches damage is done... last week I get an email noting my case is closed and they offer me 4 tire rotations and 4oil changes with no explanation. I called case worker and asked about the extended warranty and she said she could not do anything for me unless I bought one. I demanded to speak with supervisor of my case worker and she tells me I will get a call within a day and no call in 4 days. I email them objecting to the closing of my claim and have no reply-- long story short- I own a 2019 cherokee, a 2015 trailhawk and will reconsider any loyalty to jeep based on this experience.

They dragged this out beyond my mfg warranty and now are trying to screw me. I had every email and pic I sent them . Warning to all out there-- look at the new BRONCO it may be a much better alternative. These are the most recent pics of where water is now ( Sept 2022 but I have several along the way and each time after each attempt shown them where it seems to be coming from. I am done playing along with them and want to make sure others out there have info .

A Bronco may be better suited for you. They are more forgiving for lack of paragraph breaks in wall of text hard to read posts.

Thanks for the heads up - post is edited. I appreciate your sense of humor. I am trying to have one with regard to a vehicle that leaks on my wife's side of the car when it rains. She is not finding it funny at all.

Did they adjust out the body side freedom top latch hooks? That is something you can do with a torx bit set.

Seems to meet the criteria for a lemon law buy back.

I am dealing with the same thing in my 2020. I was hoping to find a solution. Seems nothing yet.

Hey all,

Just posted in another thread on the same issue.

Had the same issue, every time it rained water would drip on the window sill in the exact spot pictured.
For me the drain hole in the channel in the freedom panel had not been drilled out properly, there was a small flap of fibreglass that sat over the drain hole, all I did was to remove that little flap of fibreglass and it hasn't leaked since. I didn't need to drill it out or anything, literally just pulled the flap of fibreglass away with my fingers.
If I get a chance I will grab a pic but it's pretty obvious if you jump up and remove you front freedom panel you will see the channel and drain hole pretty easy in the rear section off roof

Worked for me, hope it helps you guys and gals

Cheers

Edit:
So it just started to rain here so not going to take my roof off to get a pic at the moment but pulled this off the net to give you an idea where the channel drain holes where in the back part off the roof, only one was blocked for me though
Cheers
