Hi everyone,
I'm considering the lease option on the sport model. I priced out the vehicle and it looks like it would come in at slightly under $250/month for 36 months. I'm thinking this is a great deal to get into this truck and test it out for a few years before committing over $60k for a rubicon version. I won't really be doing any rock crawling but i wouldn't buy anything less than the rubicon due to the options available. I'm a little nervous about purchasing an early production run of this truck (or any vehicle for that matter). I put 7-8k miles per year on my vehicles.

Has anyone else considered this? That lease option looks very enticing.

Sounds like the “enticing” lease option you speak of is what the Jeep website is showing as a lease quote. Email a dealer for lease numbers and it won’t be as enticing, I promise.

I second this. Jeeps website is a joke, if not an outright lie on the leasing prices. ITS AN ESTIMATE! $4 per month is also an estimate, a shitty one.

That being said I recently put $500 down on a 36mo lease of a sport S with like $4,000 in other options and my lease payments are about $435 a month.

Nice. I’m sure the figures are estimates but atleast it’s a starting point. I’m really leaning toward a short lease for now to test it out before committing. I’d like to see how the diesel turns out and if the max tow eventually makes it to the other models

some guys have said they've rented gladiators already. Might want to rent one for a few days or a week for a trip and then buy if you really like.

Jeep Canada not offering leases North of the border on the JT.
I heard that they had at launch for about a month - but nothing since then.

Picked up a Gladiator Overland on lease ($49170 MSRP) for $436/mo
36mo with 15k mi/yr, $0 down

Seems like a steal compared to some of the offerings I've seen in this list
Even the dealer I got it from is already $50 more per month this month (made the deal in September)

It’s not Jersey, but I dropped a rental off and flew out of Miami the other day and Avis had a handful of Gladiators sitting in their rental fleet. All were sports with soft tops.

Unrelated, although the Jeep lease offers on their website are usually nowhere close to what you can actually get in person... I was able to do okay with a Cherokee. I needed a car to commute in early this year and they were offering $269/mo with $3499 down on a 2019 Cherokee Limited. I went in and basically told them that I would give them ONE car payment worth of down payment, and not a penny more. I walked out with a $350 car payment with $350 down in a 2019 Limited, with all the safety packages which weren’t part of the “advertised vehicle.” I feel I did fairly well and have a nice car to drive for a few years. 42mo 12k lease

I will always make the suggestion to join the Tread Lightly affiliate to get 1% under invoice for leasing
ABSOLUTELY. You get a shirt, sticker and most likely $$$ off your truck. If nothing else, Tread Lightly is a good organization that's helping our hobby.
