Bonnie the Collie passed away in Aug, 2023 at 15 years old. I was done with dogs until I started fostering Max ( 3 year old sheltie) in Feb 2025 - He's been with me since, no more than a few feet away, a real velcro dog

Cali 'went home' this morning. It was time. This is a photo of her from yesterday afternoon. We sat outside and enjoyed a little fresh air (she was an indoor cat).

Thanks guys

She had her favorite, chicken wings, for dinner the night before. Such a tough call to make but when quality of life reduces to 'waiting to die', it's time and didn't need be selfish about it. Tough day, but a lot of tough days lead up to this, and it's better now.

Condolences to you and rest. I was definitely not wanting any more after I lost my on cat in GA. It wasn't from age though. Easy to be attached to animals, the unwavering attachment both ways.

We have had this one for almost two years now (since a kitten) and shes not a replacement but she certainly helps!

I'm likely adding another to my household but a fur missile in near future. I'm sure my part-time house cats are not going to be thrilled with her.

Now to adjust how my Gladiator is setup for her.

The one that had me turned off on getting anymore some years ago after having lost her.

She was a lifesaver, rescue she had been abused by prior owners. But enjoyed riding in my Wrangler and XJ she didn't mind vet visits but knew if I took her carrier it was bad I was leaving for extended time.
