Kinda newbie here, haven’t owned a Jeep in 20 years. Is a ready lift 2.5” SST lift good for gladiator sport s max tow and 285/75/18? Last Jeep I owned required a 3” lift to get 33’s on it. Off-road will mainly be south Texas ranch terrain and predominately daily driver. Any help/suggestions are much appreciated.

These new Jeeps do not require nearly as much lift to fit larger tires than Jeeps of the past. I ran 35" tires on my Rubicon completely stock before putting on a mild spacer lift. Now with a 2.5" front, 3/4" rear lift, I have room for 37" tires.

In comparison, my TJ had a 4.25" combo lift to keep the 35's from rubbing the fenders.

I’ve got a max tow, too. I added Rubicon front springs and a 1.5” spacer. I’m now running 33s with plenty of clearance. I don’t want to lift it any higher so if I ever go the 35s, I’ll just get higher fender flares.

I have no lift, and 33.1" Falkens fit with room to spare. If you want to keep almost all of the max tow rating, you will like their 255-80-17 E tires. They are slightly taller than Rubi size, and more than 10 lb. each lighter, closer to the weight of the stock tires.

Log onto the "Members Marketplace" section here and look for "Rubicon takeoffs" in the Suspension section.
You can usually pick up Rubi "take-offs" with the shocks for around $350......If I were you, I'd leave the Max-Tow rear springs in......just swap out the front springs (and obviously all 4 shocks).....possibly add a 3/4" spacer up front, that will level the truck out. The Rubi switch alone will net you about 3/4"....so, adding a 3/4" spacer will give you a total of 1.5" lift up front (this is what I did, and my JT sits level now....and I have 35" tires sitting in the garage waiting for wheels. The 285 75/17 tire is a bit over 33.75" tall, and its also stock configuration on the Rubicon......the ONLY difference other than the slight increase in height on the suspension, is that Rubicon front fender flares ride a bit higher than regular fenders....you can see this by looking at a stock Rubicon....you'll notice the top of the front fender flare is nearly even with the bottom of the hood.....whereas on other models, the top of the fender is about 1.5" BELOW the bottom of the hood
The Max-tow rear springs are the best Jeep makes (progressive rate) for towing, and probably for lift-height also.
