Sorry to bring this post ‘up from the dead’………

What did you end up doing? I’m shopping around again. I might just bite the bullet and get the Mopar. Still on the fence….

Question…. The Lock on the OEM box……Does the dealership have the ability to match my current key to the box lock?
Just found the parts I ordered via eBay - I had to buy two of the lock kits.

If you order a used storage bin, you might be able to reuse the bolts from the empty bin that comes with the Gladiator - but mine came with the bolts so I can’t recall if they are identical. I’m pretty sure they were identical to what I had to remove to pull the open bin though.

I actually ordered the Diabolical box. Installed it yesterday.

Great quality product…packed extremely well. Lots of spare keys (2 keys for every lock = 10 keys)😳. No instructions but the install is pretty self explanatory (there are plenty of videos). My OEM floor liners fit perfectly around it.
The box comes with a really thick foam pad that sits on the bottom - This gives you a soft pad for anything you don’t want to get scratched up by the mounting hardware. I did not install the foam pad.

You do lose some storage space compared to having the OEM plastic non-locking thing and why I didn’t install the foam pad. 😁 Time to re-organize my junk!

The box that I received… when I opened both lids at the same time, the corners of the lids touch/interfere with eachother. I simply loosened the hinges on the one lid, re-adjust and re-tighten.

I did adjust the box position best to try and prevent the smaller lid from touching the cup holder, but it still hits it. You have to be careful when opening up the smaller lid. I want to add some ‘limit straps’ to prevent the lids from opening too far (I have some ideas, just need time to look at it and think about it).

Diabolical is listed as a Vendor on the forum. I’m not sure how that works -Are forum members supposed to get discounts? 🤷‍♀️Or no?? I tried contacting them here and on FB to ask that question …and crickets. 🙄 They’re obviously not monitoring their accounts here or FB.

If you are looking for an alternative I have the Underseat Storage Bin with brackets that lock the seat bottoms down to the bin. You get more storage space than the Mopar lock box once you have the brackets in place. You can choose solid or MOLLE base and front panel for your configuration. Very flexible depending on what you want under the seat. Let me know if you have any questions!

Just stumbled onto this thread and storage solution in my search for a similar product as everyone else. I know it’s an old thread, but I just want to say that this looks awesome and excellent work! I hope to get one next month.

I agree.
I read this thread a couple weeks ago and have been trying to figure a way to make the vehicle keyed lock work. The biggest hurdle is I can only find the keyed locks available in the keyed gas cap which is $100.

Same lol I have way too many keys but no luck in devising a way to utilize oem key... But in the mean time, I have been using a ratchet strap to secure the bottom by hooking a hook to the front end of the rear bottom seat frame and the other end on the seat hook thats welded to the back of thr cab. Crank down a little and then lock the back rest of the back seat. (if that makes sense) it's been working great for years

That is a simple CHEAP way to secure it. Probably actually stronger than the other methods.

I am selling my under seat box, and I even bought two new lock cylinders for the new owner to rekey it to their own Jeep key. It's possible, and doable.
