Then I saw all this on the front differential itself. If I’m thinking right the top tube is the breather tube and the tube on the side with the 90 degree turn is usually a tube connected to an air activated locker. Can someone confirm this for me? This is on a Dana 44 on a Sport S.

How long have you had it? Might be a good time to pull off diff cover(s) and look for ARB locker(s) if a new to you used the P.O. might have them installed or had them installed. The top tube is a breather vent, it looks the same as mine.

The top tube is the breather. The other one is for an air locker. Looks like they removed the air compressor under the seat. I would pull the diff covers off to see if the lockers are still there.

I’ll head down for some gear fluid in the morning and see what I can see. This wasn’t something I was expecting so don’t have any on hand. I’ve had the rig for 8 days so still figuring everything out.

With the plug under the seat it looks like they kept the compressor. All you should need to get the locker working is an air source. There's a near 0 chance anyone spent the money to pull a full case locker and effectively regear the front to sell the truck. If bet the locker is still in there.

Page 15 of the .pdf of the installation instructions:
https://store.arbusa.com/content/CKMTA12_Installation Guide.pdf
has the wiring diagram so that you can see which connector goes where.

I would trace where that air line attached to the banjo fitting on the front diff ends up. I would be worried that when the dual air compressor and manifold got pulled whoever did it just cut the air line and left it hanging.

I would also look for a similar banjo fitting and air line on the rear differential housing.

Jack up the axle, put in neutral, put air pressure to the line and turn the wheel, if both wheels turn in the same direction or if you block one wheel up and try to turn the other and it doesn't move, there is your answer

This is today’s project. So far I only found 1 airline under the front seat but only installing a front locker on a Sport doesn’t make sense to me. Plus it has both front and rear wiring based on the diagrams and research. If all that is the case it saves me a ton of cash. I wouldn’t tackle the project of a full install but if all I have to do is make the connections then having air lockers just got a few football fields closer.

Update: it does indeed have the fitting for the rear locker. I haven’t found the access point into the cab for the second air line though. SWMBO wants me to run her down to the store though so that will have to wait. Funny how I get a lifted Jeep and she starts asking for rides to places again. :CWL::rock:
