Locking gas cap available?

I guess it is all in what you prefer. I don't mind having the small dedicated "gas" key on my ring. The price seemed reasonable.

You have three options.

Stant, fits any vehicle, extra key.

MOPAR, fits any vehicle, extra key.

MOPAR, you have to set the lock up to your FOB key. I have this one.


Those are in order from least expensive to most expensive.

Will these fit the diesel as well?

Yes - it seems the cap and cap latching are the same. There just isn’t a green locking cap for diesel (that I could find). I added a silicone DIESEL ONLY tag (https://a.co/d/4HxyPyM) just in case of unexpected drivers trying to fuel up

I added the OEM-keyed version to my diesel. No problems

It hasn’t come up yet (the key mechanism is also a low key IQ test) but better safe than sorry. I got a bunch for my hard-mounted aux tank, plus 4 jerry cans

I've taken a few IQ tests in my life. I've always scored between 130 - 132. I sure hope that I don't fail the key mechanism IQ test.

It looks like Mopar either updated their part or changed venders. The new part looks similar to yours. It's hard to see the details.
