The first week I had my Gladiator, I checked to see if I could siphon gas from it. With a long enough hose, it’s not a problem to get to the fuel.
I bought a locking cap the next day.

You might get a few drops, if you do it real slow but I thought all modern vehicles had anti siphon valves. Maybe not. I can barely even get any out of my old bug before it cuts me off with the one way valve, and that's from the 70s. I wish I could. Need to drain the tank. Either way, not worried about it, at all. If they want your gas, they'll drill a hole in and take it

How is that cap holding up? A lot reviews crapping on it long term .
Mine's working just fine.
I even drilled a small hole in the top and attached the lanyard.
FYI, the cap I got came with two stamped steel keys, not the plastic-head keys shown in the listing.

I don't have any keys on the fob. I put the Jeep key, the gas cap key, and the receiver pin key on a separate ring that lives on-board. When I lock the console/glove box, I take the ring with me.
Besides, I got a really good Amazon Warehouse deal on this one...

My father had a couple of siphon devices like "as seen on TV". I took them after he died as I was curious and frankly, I needed a way to siphon chemicals from my plating and cleaning tanks now and then.
Trust me - these things will not only easily start a siphon but if it won't continue on its own for any reason, one of them will pump gas out pretty quickly - battery powered. The other is crank powered - insert hose down into tank, turn crank. They'll move oil, gas, acid, caustic materials, whatever - as long as you clean them up well after you are done.
But yes, as said the simple way is a hole in the tank. With those fancy oil drain containers you can get gas pretty easily be just sitting those under the hole in the gas tank.

Our Grand Cherokees have the internal release for the tank fill door - not exactly high-tech or strong. I'd rather they didn't bust stuff up trying to get to the tank.
IF they want it, they'll get it, it's that simple.
