Does anyone commute daily a long distance (100 miles or so) in your Gladiator? If so, how is it? Is the gas mileage killing you?

I’m especially curious about a Rubicon with 35s. Thanks!
I drive 90 miles round trip everyday
I run stock sport s manual
I’m about 19-20 with all the ups and downs
Roughly 10.00 a day in fuel cost or a quarter tank per day in round trip fuel
Instead of 4 tanks I’m 5 tanks a month
The weekend driving in town takes about a quart tank
Still live it though, and now that it’s warming up riding naked will be all worth it

Over 100 miles to and from work for me. From gravel road to I-state roads averaging 22 MPG stock tires. Better MPG than my LJ.:) now I can put the 33s back on it. Not having to worry about it getting worse MPG.

with the Rubi's 4:10 (for me at least) it depends on the speed of your highway. At 50-60 i get closer to 20mpg but one you start doing 80 it drops to around 15mpg for me. Doesnt like the higher speeds at that gearing. I imagine the 3:73's do better at WI highway speeds.

Yeah I've noticed the same. If you get above 80 in my Max Tow with 4:10s mpgs stay around 17-18 on the HWY. If I keep it around 70-75 I can pretty much stay right at 21.

21 Stock Mojave with a commute ~60 miles mixed mostly between State 4 lane roads (VA 29/15) and NCR highway (66) during peak traffic. My MPG a 3K averages about 17.5 on the stock Wild Peak M/Ts.

Keep it to ~70 MPH and it really isn’t that bad. ~20 MPG.

You can have a fast commute (75+ MPH) or an economical-ish one. Your choice.

I’ve only put about ~1,000 miles on it since I had the 315/70-17’s installed. I need to go burn a tank of fuel one of these days (find somewhere to take a road trip) and see see how it does.

I have an 80-mile round-trip to my office (though thankfully still working from home every other week). I’m averaging 21-22 MPG with my Sport S automatic - driving very carefully and keeping the speed down to no more than 5 mph over the limit - still on the stock wheels & street tires for now. Just got it about six weeks ago. I was averaging about 22-24 MPG in my previous vehicle - C6 Corvette Grand Sport - though I was driving it MUCH faster since it had such good aerodynamics - higher speeds didn’t impact MPG - and it BEGGED you to haul ass. It required premium though - so I’m actually spending slightly LESS on regular unleaded to commute in the Gladiator. Life is too short to drive boring cars (or trucks).

61 miles one way. I typically drive my fusion hybrid (42 mpg solid) but when I do drive my 2020 Mojave I typically get 16-18 mpg if I’m conscientious of my starts and keep speeds under 65. If its flat and under 60 I can get 20 or so
