Long start after fuel filter?

For those of you who have changed your fuel filter yourself, have you noticed a longer than usual start on the first start? Every video I've watched has shown a long crank- perhaps 2-3 seconds- after thoroughly priming the new fuel filter. Is this normal?

Thanks! The ram forum guys say “starts just like normal” after replacing the filter, so I wanted to make sure there are no surprises when I go to do mine today

No matter what you do, once you drop the fuel filter you have air in the fuel circuit.
So initial crank after filter change you're moving that air out and filling the entire fuel circuit again.

the owners manual has you turn the car on 3 or 4 times with out starting to prime the filter.
You can also prefill the filter with diesel or AFT if has some laying around.
