Looking at Next Set of tires for my Rubicon...

After 50k miles, I am still rocking the Wildpeak AT3w on my Rubicon. Considering moving to 35s for my next set, but am too cheap to buy new wheels. I am considering the Nitto Trail Grappler 35x11.50R17LT. Does anyone have any experience with these? I am not a fan of Mud Terrains and would like to stick with A/T - I dont really wheel that much, but do spend a fair amount of time on the beach.

I just bought the Nitto Trail Grappler 35x11.50R17LT today and am waiting on them to arrive to be installed on my JTRLE. I had these same tires in 35x12.50R17LT on my 2010 JK and loved them. They were quiet on the road and held up beautifully for the time I had them. I don't think you'll be disappointed by these, which is why I bought them again!

I’m a fan of the duratracs. A bit more aggressove than an A/T but definitely not an M/T.
35x12.5R17 works on factory rubi wheels.

I put the Kenda Klever RT on my JTR. 35x10.5 was perfect in my opinion and I love how they drive. Not noisy and they look good as well ?

I would get Toyo ATIIIs in 35x11.5x17 they are load range C fairly light for a 35, very high quality tire and 3PMSF rated which is key for wet and snowy use. You can also put them on stock wheels which is one of the few 35s you can do that with. While plenty do it without issue, a 315 or 12.5 wide tire should not be mounted on a 7.5" wide rim.

I have about 4500 miles on mine. I will be switching over to the new Trail Recons when they are available in a 37x17 which should be later this summer (fingers crossed). These Trail Grappler will then move over to my YJ. They are really quiet for a mud tire and ride really well. This Jeep is daily driver and is currently being set up for long-distance travel so an AT makes more sense.

For the guys running the Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x11.5x17 on stock rims… did you do a chalk test to determine what psi to run the tires at? And if so, what seems to be the best psi?

I have a friend who swears by the Trail Grapplers. He's on his 2nd set on his JKU, and won't buy anything else.

I'll be getting my order in soon and I'm new to jeep stuff... I'm getting a Rubicon diesel and am wondering what people's experiences are with the Nitto Trail Grapplers 35x11.5x17 on stock wheels... My biggest question would be around a lift... my guess is no lift needed on road but how about under off-road conditions? No rubbing without a lift or anything?
