Man... you got lucky.
I tried that with my dealer, he just laughed at me and said I will need to pay out of pocket..
Sorry to hear, it was suggested I try that idea by the parts department of another dealer, so I can’t claim credit entirely!

I reached out to a parts supplier here on the forum and they would have been able to get me a discount on an order had I replaced it myself.

I'm still not sure if I can replace it myself it I bought the parts.
Forum here seems to suggest that it's plastic-welded from factory and I wouldn't be able to snap them in even if I cliped off the plastic parts from the console. And I'm not keen on replacing the entire console by myself...

The center console + labor I'm probably looking at $600+ to just replace a piece of rubber!!!! @#^&^#@&$^%@%#$@#&%

WTF FCA.. cmon now..

Same thing happened to me. I dropped my debit card. I paid $178 for the part shipped. Anyway, if you know of a good auto body shop you trust, you could have them replace it. They will likely be less expensive then the dealer. Good luck with whatever you decide.

When you bought the part, did you take a look on how the rubber boot is secured? Any chance that I could just trim away the plastic console stuff and snap them in (one way street style)?

Seemed like there is a plastic ball on all of the feets, and a large clip at the top.

Yeah, the way you are describing it is exactly how it is. I did the repair you are asking about. I clipped the little balls, unfortunately it doesn’t snap into place. I ended up using 3M tape and I struggled to get it to stick. It’s not perfect, but I’m the only one who knows. If I were to do it all over, I would have paid the dealer or auto body shop to install it.

The other thing I thought about trying was to use some of that epoxy that will fuse plastics together. Because you don’t have a lot of surface area to work with, I didn’t have the balls to try it. Plus, I didn’t want to make things worse.

Oh yeah, and now this thread has brought me back to those thoughts again...
You know, prior to this, I didn't think FCA wanted my money THAT badly.
This experience changed all that.

So they designed a parking brake assembly that would gobble up your credit cards. Then as you reach in to fish them out, they make you swipe those credit cards..

Just snapped mine chasing a CC. Popped out the rest of the plastic. Going to drill it and use plastic rivets like the fender flares.
