Brand New to jeep in general and I have a 2021 I just bought and I'm looking to get rid of the stock bumper and go with steel. I'm looking at this one and my issue is the hitch. Does anyone know if this will work?

Hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like a bumper hitch. Normal factory or aftermarket installed hitches have a receiver that a ball mount would fit into.

I wouldn't haul a lot of weight with a bumper hitch.

It's a bumper hitch but my main thing is how would I adapt it down below. That bracket is welded on to the frame

I couldn't say sure without measuring a new bumper to the existing mounts. If it doesn't obstruct the OEM bumper (or have modifications made to it), it may not obstruct a new bumper.

You could always remove the ball mount with a torch or cutting blade on a grinder. Unless you are wanting to keep that type of hitch.

Is that not just the standard Class II bumper hitch that came on some trims without the Tow Packages? If so, I would assume you could just remove the ball and slap your new bumper on there. Although that would be a question for the bumper manufacturer.

At worst, you'd need to grab the part number on the sticker in your image (which should be the entire hitch assembly) and replace it with the Class IV assembly that came with tow package trucks. This image should clarify.....top is the Class IV assembly, bottom is what you (presumably) have.

I believe you are right. It looks like the bottom picture. Although I believe it's made to put a hitch receiver on it, somebody cut a hole in the plastic part of the bumper and just put a ball in it's place. Therefore an aftermarket bumper made for the Gladiator should fit after removing the ball.

So to put a hitch back on with the after market bumper I'd have to swap out for a class Iv? Personally I hate the hitch in the bumper. They put 36in tires on so it's kinda useless that way and if I pulled anything it wouldn't be that heavy to exceed the tow limit

If you are wanting a class IV Receiver yes. You could put an aftermarket hitch receiver on the existing, but it will be class III (4,000 lb capacity).

Edit: You will need to remove an aftermarket bumper to do so. So I would do that at the same time as replacing the bumper.
