That is how that works. The 99 ft/lbs came from the JL site’s “official” torque specs.

yea! Im figuring this crud out! ( small victories )

So an additional 170' of turn could result in more that 99ft lbs of torque? I didnt realize that the torque could increase that rapidly with just shy of a half turn of the bolt.

Yeah too bad that without a dial torque gauge they're a PITA to do

Just checked mine at 4k miles. All loose, by at least a half a turn
