Been hearing a noise lately when going over the railroad tracks and figured it may be a shock. Rolled around under the truck and found one that is completely gone with oil dripping off the bottom (driver front), and another that has light residue and may go next (driver rear). Only 25K miles on the truck 😂 Anyway I ordered front and rear Bilstein 5100's from @Northridge4x4 to solve all this. I'm sure the really rough railroad crossing and intersection near my house twice a day (minimum) didn't help - which just so turns out, is rougher on the driver side...

Photo order is DSF, DSR, PSF, PSR.

When you take those off you'll see how easy it is to compress the blown ones. Even the good ones are nothing like the 5100s. Hope you like the Bilsteins.

By the way, while you are at it, you may as well add some rear shock skid plates at the same time. Prime and paint them first. Aftermarket powder coat often isn't very good.

Hopefully so. Seems a lot of folks thought the Bilsteins were pretty firm, but a lot of reports seem to come from Rubicon owners and those Fox shocks were pretty mushy. My truck being a Max Tow already rode pretty 'sporty'.

This one is no wheeling rig so not sure when or if I'll add any types of skids - but my JK Wrangler I had before was wheeled a lot, and it had rear shock skids (and they were helpful).

Retired. Beach bum.
With only under 6,000 miles on my 2024 Sport S, I’m waiting for the stock shocks to go, as is the rears are soft, too soft in the rebound that on a good bump with “return” twice maybe three times? On my last few truck I used Bilstein 5100’s, that especially on a 2019 Colorado really did a great job sorting out the leveling and ride. Not so interested in a level on the Gladiator, especially with only 1,144 lbs load capacity. But love the ride as is except the rears rebound. When these BridgeStone Dueler HT are less than half worn, I plan to replace with a nice 32” max, 10” wide max Michelin AT tire, no more than 4-6 ply , looking for the best ride possible.

Seems like all of the OEM shocks are shit

Can't go wrong with the 5100s
