Low profile bed racks

Haven’t seen too many options???? There are tons of racks out there, many low profile. Spend some time researching yourself.

Define low profile. I consider my Rebel Off Road half-height rack to be low profile. Fishbone off-road makes a great half-height rack as well.

Billie Bars are super low profile options to build a rack off of.

I Agree with the above comments. I am also going to get a half rack for my JTM. All kinds of options depending on what you are going to do with it.

Price ranges from $500 to $3000.

I've had KB VooDoo Cross-bars for the last 5 years (on my 2017 Tacoma, and the same set on my Mojave) to haul my kayak around. Other than the powdercoat failing and starting to rust/bubble on some of the edges, they've always done the job and are compatible with most tonneau covers. Install is easy with the trail-rail/bed rail and the bars come off easily if you need to get something large in the bed.

Less than a half rack. Maybe bed rack crossbars would be an accurate description. I want something I can throw a snowboard, bike, carrier, occasionally a tent on.
I’d like to do some overlanding but realistically might happen once a year.

I've had good results doing what you're describing with BillieBars. They're very versatile.

These are the only ones that I could find:

I just took off a set of KB VooDoo aluminum rails and 3 brand new One Up bike racks. Rails less than a year old and bike racks maybe two months old. Reconfiguring my bed so looking to sell any and all if interested.

On the same boat, searching for something similar that would work with my bed tonneau cover.

I had a tri-fold in my previous truck and promised myself I would go with something like what I have now in the Gladiator... a low profile bed rack would have never worked with a tri-fold.

I want something that would be low enough while still accommodating a couple of RotopaX gas and water containers.

Most of what I see I will need to modify to make it work with the tonneau cover that I have...

So far, I found one that I could modify to fit... But I like this setup shared by @sharpsicle.... it would just need to be a little bit higher and with a crossmember to be able to mount the tanks.

Oh... that surely works for me... is that your setup?? If so, can you share specifics on the rack model number and crossmembers? Aslo, how long are the top crossbars?

If you can share, if you still have it... the part numbers for the rack. That would be most helpful as I went to look and they have several models. I want to get the same one you have as it works exactly for what I want to use it for... excellent!! Thanks again!

EDIT: Looks to be the Yakima OutPost HD Overland with 60" crossbars and tonneau install kit... just need to figure out the crossmember between the two legs.

Thats me. Its the yakima outpost hd. I have the 60" crossbars. I used the yakima adapter that originall mated to the retrax pro cover on my last truck. It works on the new cover just fine.
