Are the front lower control arm mounts supposed to be slotted ? I just installed new adjustable LCAs and the front mounts are slotted but it doesn’t look like it was done at the factory. My dealer lifed it and also worked on it to try and fix the steering issues. The holes are rectangular and I see a little rust where the cuts were done.

They had a washer and a squareish
washer on both sides? Do I just install and torque to the spec or am I gonna have problems ? If the dealer did this I’m gonna be pissed.
Thanks!

I just finished putting the new LCAs on last night. I should have took a pic but it was late. The length I added won’t make any difference cause the holes are slotted out. I’m going to have to take it to the dealer and ask them what the hell they were thinking.
The new ones would need to be adjusted till it hits the end of the slot before it would make any caster adjustment.

I’m assuming they slotted the axle brackets? Do you have “cam lock” washers in there now to keep the axle from moving?

They have four rectangular washers, one for each side. I’m not sure how these are supposed to go back in. It doesn’t appear that there is any tab to hold the washers in place

There should be some small raised lips on each side of the hole in bracket which center the square washers.

Doesn’t really look like there are any raised lip there. I’ll check again.

I contacted JKS and they said the lift I have came with these bolts / washers to adjust the caster somewhat. They claim there’s no problem using the adjustable LCAs with these. I’ll have to set up an alignment as I’m sure it’s off now.Haven’t had a chance to drive yet. Wish I had known all this ahead of time. Would have just spring for the LCAs when I bought the lift

They are small, but I believe they are there.

Thanks for the pic. Okay I took them apart and found the raised lips. I repositioned the rectangular tabs to fit within them as best I could and torqued it all back down again.
I rook it for a drive and it does seem much better than with the stock LCAs. The steering wheel is straight and goes straight down the road. Questioning the need to align it. Hopefully I have finally got thile steering issues under control.
Thanks again.
