Welcome to the fold. I made the swap in 21 with a trade in of my 21 TRD Pro Taco for a Gladiator Rubicon. Since then, I have gladly taken the Gladiator on many off road excursions that I would have thought twice before taking the Taco there. I am hoping that the reliability that I gave up with the Taco doesn't come back to bite me. I only have 12K on the Gladiator since buying it. It feels good driving the Gladiator just about anywhere I need to go.

Thanks everyone! Couple days and I’m already loving it.

so I’m going to get titanium 17” method MR705 wheels and I’m debating between 35s or 37s

I’m leaning more towards a leveling kit and 35s. Can someone point in the right direction for a nice leveling kit that won’t break the bank? ?

I bought the Taco in 2020 for $30k and it was traded in for $31k.

the 2020 Rubicon was fully loaded, 35k miles, and they gave it to me for $42k. Did my research the pulled the trigger!

looking at wheels and a lift ?

NICE, I'm sure you got a good deal on the trade in. I traded in my 2017 TACO for a JTR in 2019. My wife thought I was crazy, (crazy smart). She loves the JTR now. Best truck I ever had, though I did have to launder money through a few shell companies, and offshore bank accounts to conceal what I've spent on MODS.

Bigger tires may require regearing. I never went that route but many here have. They can guide you into the world of bigger tires and gearing needed. Do bigger tires need re gear as well?? I’d say they do if you pull the trigger on 37’s, not sure on 35’s but maybe you do.

35’s will work fine without a regear. I’d recommend it with 37’s.

The 4:10 is fine with 35's anything more def regear. 2 inch lift with 35's is just fine with 4:10 though.
