Traded in my 18 Taco Trd sport for a 2020 Glad Rubicon.

Nervous but excited to have some fun with it! Bought the 7 year extended for a peace of mind lol.

the warranty was a fantastic choice. Ive made great use of mine for any small thing I wanted addressed. I wont own a vehicle without a 90k mile warranty

NICE, I'm sure you got a good deal on the trade in. I traded in my 2017 TACO for a JTR in 2019. My wife thought I was crazy, (crazy smart). She loves the JTR now. Best truck I ever had, though I did have to launder money through a few shell companies, and offshore bank accounts to conceal what I've spent on MODS.

Welcome to family. Your gonna enjoy the summertime a lot more now with the JT, doors off, top off, nothing like it. I'll never not have a Wrangler or Gladiator in my driveway ever again.

The tacos are great! I drove tacos for 20+ years before getting a gladiator.

The only reason I made the jump was it was the first mid sized truck with a diesel with over 460 ft lbs of torque…

I loved my tacomas ( I’ve had 4 )

But the jeeps are unique and special… it’s certainly grown on me.

The solid front axle is no where as road worthy as the Tacoma IFS… but my first trip to Moab showed me how important it is.

I did hells revenge (all of it) without breaking a sweat or getting challenged (besides mentally)… the Tacomas I had would have had a lot of trouble…

Overall I love both trucks now, and really think the Tacoma is a better highway vehicle, the jeep has more capability, and has way more soul.

Enjoy!

Nice honest review. I have had Jeeps for so long I've become used to a solid axle. But when I do get in a ifs I'm like oh that's how it should steer. Welcome to the jeep world

Congrats. I just traded in a super loaded Silverado for my 4th Jeep, but very first Jeep truck. Zero regrets. I love my Gladiator. I am a Chevy/Jeep guy.

Welcome to the forum. Here, we will gladly spend all your money on what mods you need. And in the process, turn all your credit cards into a smokin' pile of melted plastic.

Enjoy the ride.

I just switched from my 2018 TRD Pro to a 2020 Gladiator. The Gladiator drives 10 times better and is way easier to work on. Prior to this Gladiator, I have been with a Tacoma for 30+ years, I will never go back.
I think you made a solid decision!
