New here. Just got my first Jeep, 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. Love this truck. Ive always had either pickups or full size vans so this feels like a sports car to me. I got my flat tow capable vehicle, my 4 whl drive, my pickup. My wife & I got our first convertible !
All in one !!
So far I’ve added line x, Bak tonnea, Roadmaster base plate.
I love driving this in manual mode. I can run the revs up & a cool gurgle from the exhaust when slowing & downshifting .
I’ve searched many forums & can’t find out if this tranny is ok to use in manual mode most of the time. I don’t want to do anything that might shorten it’s life. All opinions welcome. Love this forum.

I mean, if you're constantly running the revs up, then you're creating excess heat. In the long run that could be a bad thing. If you're mostly driving it normally and just fucking around a small portion of the time, then no issues.

Personally auto-sticking a car or truck is kind of the worst of both worlds. None of the fun of a clutch and shifter exercising the finesse it takes to drive stick well (you know, rev matching, heel toeing, hitting that 'flow on the winding roads), and none of the ease of an automatic.

But that's just me, if it's enjoyable to you, then have at it. I currently have a ZF, and it's a really great automatic, but i cannot wait for it to go back when my manual arrives.
