Good Afternoon Ya'll....
I've been looking around for something to throw up on the jeep when its fully naked.
A little sun protection and water protection.
I've seen soo many videos of different types/brands and I keep coming back to this one.
Some of the information/videos are older, so things could've changed and/or improved (or not).

How do you use this top? Do you install it and leave it there for a long period of time?
How quick is it to install? I know there's a lot of straps...and that's OK, if it works.
How's that front rubber gasket-thing perform ? All the vidoes I've seen... It's almost like that thing needs to be tucked further up against the front rollbar/area?
How long have you had it? Would you buy it again or recommend to others?
Any other feedback?

I don't want a full soft top because I don't want to deal with storage of both. My husband and I can take off the freedom panels, hard top, and doors off in a matter of 15 minutes. The JT needs to be 'ready' to drive at all times (in all conditions). We might get naked on the weekends only depending on the weather.
We only need something when the hard top is off..... Having something to throw up there quick when things get 'too hot' (sun protection) or protection from a few drops of rain....... and be able to drive with it.

I remember back years and years ago when we had a YJ.... we had a Bikini top. A window channel and a few straps was all you needed.

Thanks!

Hey,

A couple of months ago I bought the one that just covers the top and doesn’t come with the back wind flap. I got it for pop up thunderstorms. I have an alien sun shade that I’m happy with but it doesn’t help with pop up storms.

The front rubber gasket does slide under the rubber seal on the jeep and it does provide great sun protection. That being said it is not a quick install and you can’t put the hard top back on without taking it off. The side straps go on quickly but what takes forever is the front ones that slide in between the rubber seal and windshield. The alien sunshade comes with this plastic strip that helps guide the cords through. I use that and it helps tremendously. I only put it on if I plan to leave it on for a while. It does the job.

Thank You!! I agree… from the videos, it doesn’t look ā€˜quick’. I might have to ā€˜waffle’ (again) and change my thinking. I should start looking at sun shades too.
If there are any chances of thunderstorms or rain, we keep the tops on.
Thank you!

I went through a similiar debate and ended up with the Rugged Ridge Voyager soft top. It's a bit more than the one you're looking at but can be weather tight on the fly if needed. The instructions and fit weren't perfect but it's much better than flipping the hard top on/off all summer.

Funny…I never bought anything yet…..so I’m back into my search mode again. It’s that time of year again!!

Of all things - I totally forgot I posted about this thread and here I am again.šŸ˜„

Looking at the Mastertop 14100524 - Bimimi Summer top - front half only.
Everywhere I look - it says ā€œDoes not fit your 2024 Gladiatorā€
Says it fits up to 2023 Gladiator…..

I thought it was because of the Side Curtain airbags….?? But….I also thought the 2023 Gladiators had the front Side curtain airbags (2024 had front & rear).

Seems everything I look at…or want to buy… says ..Does not fit 2024. šŸ˜–

I’m thinking if pulling the trigger on this top, just curious how it holds up on the highway and any other downsides anyone has come across.
