Roads are slippery as hell and I would definitely lose a lot of traction control going at 2H.
Might want different tires, or a safer speed.

I swear I was told no more than 45mph with my JKU. But i cant seem to actually find it in the JT owners manual.

The JT manual says don't shift to 4 high while going more than 45 (or more precisely, it says it's not recommended). The JKU manual says don't shift into 4hi while going more than 55. But if you're already in 4hi, having shifted at a lower speed, there's no limit.

interesting. I guess I always took that as the max operating speed.

Here ya go. You’re not crazy! Page 169 of the JT owners manual.

That's not a maximum speed for using it though, that's a maximum speed for shifting. "The preferred shifting speed...". If there were a max, it would say so, like it does for 4Lo, where it says "do not exceed 25 mph".

It gives me way more traction. But I uploaded the video on one of my local webpages and I was told that the transfer case gets fried at 55+. I did some research and I couldn’t find anything that would confirm that.
Nope. You're fine, as long as you're doing it on slippery surfaces. There's no max speed for 4hi. There hasn't been since the TJ era.
To answer/comment in regards to both of these posts.

Just last month I drove my TJ at 75mph in 4hi in a rain storm. What's funny is, it was by accident. I put the TJ into 4Hi after a day of wheeling when we were driving back on the access trail, aired up and forgot to put it back to 2Hi before I hit the pavement. I was rushing since it had started to really come down, and I recall saying to myself, "Damn, this thing is driving great in this crap"
Then I went to pull into a convenience store and when I was turned, I was like OOO damn, I'm in 4 HI.

in summary, It's a non issue

I swear dude my local jeep page is full of haters lol. Even a girl was getting all crazy at me because one of her buddies flipped a truck going at 45mph. She snapped at me obviously cuz I was going faster. I was like damn people have to chill out lol. Gladiators are truly amazing machines and that’s why I decided to prepare my suspension for high speed offroading. I love the adrenaline and honestly it takes those bumps like nothing.
First and last time I post there something for sure.

Folks out in the desert/dunes are going well over 45 all the time. I'm jealous of them.
