Thank you for your service, I most enjoyed being in the field with my soldiers, like you, Especially SF. That’s right every single one of you were “my” soldiers if I was there. All of my peers would say the same.

Well just my opinion, and you know what opinions are like. Having said that, the max tow is indeed an option box, not a trim level. That‘s just the way it is. Is it a cool, cost effective option? Of course it is. But as a trim name? HORRIBLE. Sport as a trim has plenty of history on many car lines, and makes sense and sounds cool. Rubicon, Mojave, Overland, Sahara. They all sound cool as well and bring to mind great places and activities. Max Tow? MAX TOW?! C’mon. Just call it what it is, a Sport. Or petition Jeep to give it a designation that doesn’t sound like a slang term for gout.

Anything for you Brother! I tried to go airborne twice. Finished physical/ PT test/ locked and loaded and the damn 502nd kept taking our three spots. Never got the chance to not be a Leg. So Air Assault was it. That is as close as I could be to loosing Leg status. honestly though Air Assault was more handy as a medic.

My daughter just got engaged to an 82nd Airborne Army Combat Medic Airborne/Air Assault Vet.

Funny how that seems to stay in the family. My Dad was Army, His Dad is SF Ranger Ret, his Mom is Army retired (yes I’ll be able to tell my grandkids their other grandmother wore combat boots), his step father is 3 star engineer Ret.

its an option for a trailer hitch different axles and a 4.10 rear, right? It kinda seems like its the same thing as saying “cold weather package“ or “8.4 Nav”

The same reason you bring up every chance you get that you get 23 mpg with your Mojave with a 4” lift and 37s. Some people are proud of what they own and what they have accomplished. Big brother syndrome? You should be proud you helped get this max tow page to 16 pages!

you could make that argument, i suppose, but it would have to ignore that when I do im answering a specific question about economy, correcting demonstrably bad information on the forum, and/or giving out all of the information on how to accomplish it.......

Lol this thread is great. While I love my Max Tow, I never thought to seriously compare it to a Rubicon/Mojave in an off-road measure. Those two trims are clear upgrades UNLESS you actually tow a lot and tow very often.

All of our rigs are super capable but the Rubicon is a clear cut step above. Lockers and 4:1 transfer case, resulting in 77.2:1 crawl ratio is a big upgrade for those serious off-roaders.
