So I did a ton of research and was going to do all metalcloak game changer , except springs. Was convinced to stick with all MC. Ordered the 3.5” lift for my Rubicon and planned 37’s or maybe 38’s. Anyhow, after doing research I found some rubicons that ran the 3.5” with 37,s and they were crazy looking ( skipped leg day look) way more lift than needed. Read a good thread where a guy said he gained over 5” from the 3.5” game changer. So I called MC and we decided that the 2,5” would be good. Did I make a mistake ?? See a lot of non Rubicons that look good with the 3.5. Rubicons as we know are slightly different in fender and axle width so here I sit waiting on UPS but worried I went the wrong way ? Advise me please - pictures are worth a 1000words but solid advice from experience is priceless.

That is an answer only you can provide….
2.5” diesel will clear 37’s with almost no bump stops… gas will need at least 1.25” bump up front. down travel is going to be the same on either kit. So ??‍♂.

2.5 is going to give you the lower center of gravity.
Function>form ???

If you’re worried about the look, throw a 1” spacer up front.

Are you asking for appearance, or function??
I think I am asking for both. Function as far as off-road is a little less important. I just moved back to Wi from Co and this isn’t wheeling here. But I will still go to Co at least once a year with it. So street performance is very important also.
I vote stay with the 2.5 then. The tires will fit fine. Doesn’t sound like high speed anything so the increased up travel of 1” isn’t there. Lower center of gravity when you do go back to CO. If you jump to a 38/40” tire then 3.5-4”.

You did replace your front driveshaft correct? Did you go with rocksport shocks or what did you go with? (Asking for the extended length…)

So I just installed the MC 2.5” GC this weekend. Impressive parts! When I was done, the front bumper height was a change of 5” .

I went with the 2.5" game changer and the front fenders ended up a bit over 4" higher. This is on BFG KO2 37x12.50 which are really more like 36s.

5” - Wowser. I know they somewhat bank on a heavier bumper and winch install to balance it out. How much gain in rear. Thank you for pic and reply.

3.5" MC, 38" Nittos with chopped fenders. It will settle a little over the first 1000 miles or so

I didn’t measure the rear, and I still have to torque everything, get the tires back on. I do have an aftermarket bumper and 12k winch hanging on the front. I just wanted to get that little bit of loss back, not expec twice as much!
