What color D rings?

So I am getting this bumper (photo courtesy of @doc-ketamine) and a matching rear but with black hardware rather than zinc coated bronze:
Jeep Gladiator Metalcloak bumpers getting put on this weekend. D ring shackles -black, plain silver, or powder coated sarge green? 1646238433235

And will be hanging D rings from the front and rear bumpers. Gladiator is a Sarge Willys so has no silver. Was leaning black, but then thought about having them powder coated to match the Sarge green body. But not having a single photo on the internet to decide from, I keep going back and forth from thinking green will be a nice subtle touch to thinking it might be too much. So figured I'd ask the distinguished gentlemen of taste here your opinions. Thanks!

personally would just go black. Shackles are meant to be abused. powder coat wouldn't last long and if one does get torn up it's far easier to replace a black one than a powder coated sarge green

I would go black too… after a few vehicles of having shackles outside on them, seeing friends having them stolen and having to deal with rubber washers or ballcock washers to keep the rattling down… I only put them on or use them… this is all my opinion.

Ps can’t wait to see those bumpers on!

Yeah, I just assumed you left them in place because I see Jeeps with them all the time. But after some reading around it does seem lots of folks just keep them in the vehicle until needed and put them on then. Anything rattling drives me insane, so I'll probably just go that route. I've already got an intermittent backseat seat belt rattle and an off and on weird squeaking when it's wet out that refuses to happen at the dealership so not looking to add noises.

Is the squeaking coming from the rear? I found that my upper rubber spring isolators, make squeaking noises when wet.

Sounds like it is. It's tough pinpointing noises, but this one drives me batty. It's pretty darn loud, and completely unrepeatable. But only happens in wet weather, and then only sometimes. Were you able to fix yours?

Mopar rattle can sarge green is my vote. Get shackles that have the rubber guards inside to help keep the abuse down.

Keep a couple of beat up silver ones in your recovery bag so you don't scratch the cool ones.
