I had a great experience with Extreme Dodge in Jackson as they were the only place that would remotely deal with me. They actually ordered my Overland diesel without a deposit and told me if I want it when it comes in its mine, if not no worries. This is probably not their policy but after I had lots of communication with Ryan he offered it to easy my decision. I did not get any dealer specific discounts but the incentives were REALLY good in December when it was delivered. Mine only took 3 weeks to show up which is crazy fast. Key to remember is you only get incentives when you take delivery and not when you order.

I dont understand all that invoice stuff. I have never seen an invoice price from any dealer I dealt with. I know that when I went to Jeep.com the MSRP was $54500. With the incentives in December and another $1500 rebate I got by checking in at jeep.com, I was out the door with taxes and everything for $52200.

invoice is allegedly the wholesale price the dealership pays for a vehicle from the manufacturer. It can be a little misleading in that there are other ways the dealer profits,
for example, the MSRP on my Jeep was 48,205, but the invoice came out to 45,733. They then took 5% off the 45,733.


there should be a calculator on the sticky page of this forum (ordering) so you can add up the same options on the Jeep site to find the invoice price. In the picture here, you can see the msrp on the left then the invoice on the right.
From there, look for 4-5% below that, then add your Michigan 6% tax

if you feel like driving, Tyler CDJR in Valparaiso, IN did 5% below invoice

I just ordered a Mojave from Tubb's Brothers in Sandusky, MI. Got a near-Gupton, below-invoice price and could buy locally. They are a 1.5 hour drive for me (I pass several Jeeps dealers to get to Tubb's Brothers), but the price and great no-bs customer service is worth it. I have bought my last 4 cars from them.

I worked with Stan (in sales). We ended up at 7% off MSRP (not invoice) on a special order Mojave. Could have gotten more off a Sport because there was a $1,500 manufacturer discount/incentive on Sports and Overlanders but no manufacturer help on Mojaves. Easy to work with.

B: Picked % below invoice
C: Added in $1,495 destination
D: Add 6% MI sales tax
E: Final price. +/- doc fees, etc.

Follow-up for anyone else reading this, I ended up ordering through Tubb's Brothers as well. I get employee price (5% under FWP) through my dad, but they were still willing to go down to 6% under, and a very fair value on my trade. So far a great experience, great people.
