Hey guys. Wanted to share a little hack I figured out. This is a much more inexpensive way to mount packouts in the bed versus some of the other offerings on the market right now. Sorry for video length, could have been shorter but I tried to be thorough. 🤪 Video link below. Less than $60 total and you've got the whole setup, packout box and all.

Parts list is:
(1) smaller packout box of your choosing
(1) packout mounting plate
(2) Teraflex t-slot nuts
(2) Grade 8 M12 x 1-1/2" (fine thread) bolts
(2) 12mm washers
(1) Grade 8 1/4"x20 - 1" bolt
(1) 1/4" grade 8 washer
(1) 1/4" grade 8 nut
(1) rubber stopper (hard to find hardware section of Lowe's)

It's simple, but dang I like it!
Let me know y'all's thoughts!

But can't you put other stuff in their packout system - other than Milwaukee?
or is that illegal or blasphemous?

I'd like a way to stash hitch pins, snatch blocks, other odds and ends without taking up all of my under-seat space. But that stuff is heavy and hit a good bump and it's going to be a hammer and bust stuff.

I'm definitely becoming a fan. I'm a dewalt guy when it comes to tools (part of the reason for that is pricing). But Milwaukee storage solutions are far better than any others!

Haha I'm with you. I slapped these on and threw my dewalt and Klein tools in em 😆 I actually intend to do similar to that with mine. One of them is a med kit and I'm setting the other one up with a few necessary tools and my ratchet straps.

I used to be a DeWalt guy, but over the last several years I have converted all of my cordless to either M18 or M12 tools. All of my corded stuff is still DeWalt tools i bought over the last 20 years

I will likely copy this idea as soon as I find a deal on the Uinta rails. I have another project that requires them so it looks like i'm committed. Great idea/writeup. Thanks!

I’m still over here trying to figure out what a pack out is and why you would need one. And considering I don’t have the nifty rail on my bed that you have, I’ll just stick to the underseat storage 😂

I loved my underseat storage. But with 2 car seats in the back I won't be able to access it for quite some time 😂

I think that would be useful for mollies!

I know that feeling well. My daughter just grew out of her booster seat and I am FINALLY free of car seats/booster seats! Having easy access to that under seat storage is awesome!
I do have it packed though and I like this idea. I have to ask is it plywood rated? 😆 Seriously though, I do carry plywood and am curious if the pack out boxes would get in the way (stick out past the inside of the bed opening at the tailgate)?
