My guess is that he used the Teflon tape that is commonly used for propane and natural gas lines (available at almost all hardware stores). It is typically in a black and yellow container. The picture below is from one that I picked up from Lowe's about a week ago. If you read the packaging text in the picture, you will see the petroleum text.Do you have the link for that tape or what color it is? Want to make sure I get the right one because mine is leaking like crazy too.
