Where can I purchase these steps to add to my rock rails?

Based on the profile pic I'd say he's manufacturing them. The same logo is on the steps. I'm interested in a set as well and how they install and interested in knowing how easy or hard they are to remove.

You are correct I own Leading Edge Manufacturing and that is our LOGO on the step.

These are actually welded on not bolted. However these were welded directly to a 10 Ga mounting plate that runs along the whole rock slide tube. I do think with a mounting plate attached to the steps they could be bolted on. This would require match drilling and tapping the 10ga.plate.


I didn’t do this project with intentions to build more but I just couldn’t see getting rid of new rock slides then have to spend money to buy different ones with steps.


Question: Would it be preferable if these were bolted or welded?

Bolt on, I'd be all in if they were bolt on with maybe a quick realease. The JK's had a bolt on step that had a quick release so you could remove the step pretty easily when going off road. I could buy steps for $90 and have a buddy weld them on, so weld on ones would not interest me.

I would like to see a set that essentially hangs on the rock slider top and has a bolt on the bottom that just presses against the bottom of the slider so it stays in place. It could slide back and forth along the slider to be adjusted in the position you want. I should really spend some time working on my idea, then you could manufacture it for us!!!!

This is the current step design to be welded to the bottom of Rock Rail. I also Powder Coated the Rock Rail and steps together so they match perfectly. The factory Rock rail is E-coated from the factory so coating over the rail is not a problem.

Would you be willing to share the CAD file of the OEM Rock Slider I could design up the hanging style so you can adapt it to your step!
