I'll try to keep this short.

Bullet statements.

* Decided I wanted a Gladiator.

* Trade my car in, or private sale.

* Old couple I know in trouble, one car dead, one car on last legs.

* Find and install parts to fix dead car, old timer cries.

* Wants to find a good car for Wife, sell him my trade in, at below trade in value, wife cries.

* Old timer insists, INSISTS, on giving me a ride in the repaired car, won't let me pay for gas nor tolls, to pick up the new Gladiator.

* Today, I see them both, old timer is all excited, has something for me. Wife rolls eyes, and states "That since you dropped my beautiful car off, he's torn the house apart looking for this."

Is this seriously cool or what!

No good deed goes unpunished.

I know nothing of it's history, yet blown away.

Give good, get good. A very cool find for sure and very bold on jeeps part to offer a navigational chronometer. I’d have to look through the library but I should be able to tell you how to use it.

I’m not criticizing you but I have a question for you. What could possibly have been inappropriate about your story? As a guy trying to get himself into Heaven I think more people should be doing what you did and spreading the word that the world isn’t as bad as it is portrayed to be and people really do still love each other.

So this device as shown will allow you to navigate provided you have a map and a known point. Your compass line of travel, trip odometer and trip timer and the chronometer would give you an expected line, expected target time of arrival and the means to correct for errors. If you had a sextant and “the chart”can be even more accurate. More to follow.
