Mojave and bumper/winch too heavy?

I went with a Rock Hard aluminum full width bumper (37LBS) and a Warn 8s winch(54lbs ) My Mojave rides the same as before.

Thats like hanging a 90lb sack of cement off the front bumper. Im surprised it was not noticeable.

Far from 90 lbs. when you subtract the weight of the plastic bumper and hardware plus the weight of the factory skid plate. Maybe a net gain of 20-25 pounds.

Oh didnt realize that cheesy Mojave bumper weighed so much. That would be well within range. So the RH Al bumper takes place of skid plate too?

Yes it does, and the factory skid plate is not light. I made the mistake of not weighing everything that I took off. But carrying them away they seemed pretty heavy. There is some steel with the "plastic bumper"

Yes, I have hit the bump stops while stock. But I am not hitting them more now with the winch mounted than when I did not have the winch mounted. It seems like as I continue to add miles (I am at about 11K now) the suspension seems to be less harsh. I mounted the winch and steel bumper at about 8K miles.

I have an LOD front bumper and Warn Evo 10s on my Mojave. I noticed the bump stops being engaged a lot more after the install.

The Mojave definitely has softer springs than the Rubicon. Thats how it eats rough terrain at speed but also why it has lower payload capacity. The softer springs is why Ive held off adding new bumper/winch so far.

It’d also be interesting to hear what rear bumper options don’t impact Mojave performance as well. Thought about going with aluminum in the rear too but I don’t want to lose my towing package’s capabilities.

Steel winch line or synthetic? I am running the warn evo 10S with synthetic line and a rubicon steel bumper and the ride is still great on this Mojave. I have used steel winch line on other vehicles and the weight difference between the two is pretty significant.

Replacing the steel cable and steel roller fairlead with a synthetic robe and aluminum fairlead from my Ramsey 9500 saved 27lbs.

I added the Teraflex 1" spacer to make up for the weight, helped out.
