No. I'm actually talking about having issues with something else needing to be in the same space as the remote reservoirs.
What? I’m talking about OPs actual thread question, I didn’t hit replay for your post originally man…

I never thought I would end up buying a Mojave, because I assumed all off-road trims meant a bad ride… 6 months later, I can’t imagine owning any other package; it’s just a perfect for my use.

Here’s my question… I would love to add a front bumper and winch, but I don’t want to sacrifice what I think of as the perfect on/off-road suspension.

Do I need a winch? Probably not, but I love to go on solo expeditions.

Would love to hear from Mojave owners, but regardless, I know you guys in this thread can help me figure this out.
We were in a similar boat, just put in a Rock Hard mid width aluminum front bumper at 34 pounds. Replaces factory bumper/hooks/skid plate. Not an even trade after winch but definitely helps offset some weight.

First - I could not agree with you more. I have one year seat time with my JTM and cannot be happier. To quote you "Perfect for my use"
I am in the middle of my bumper/winch install and the guys on this forum have been extremely helpful...that said; my choice was the RR Arcus bumper and the HF Apex 12k synthetic rope combo.
After you figure out the "look" you want (full or shorty) you can go after the sales...
Good luck in your venture! That's half the fun!!!

I added a Quadratech 10k Stealth winch with synthetic rope and Rugged Ridge HD Front Bumper X-Striker Bar. I measured with a sheet rock square before and after. The whole install lowered the front only an 1/8 of an inch compared to stock. Drives the same. Don’t worry about weight of winch unless you are really big on bumper, no worries… trail cam is fine, skid plate fine. Mojave can handle winch no problem. Also, tip to protect the winch rope; use a peel and stick step grip from Harbor Freight. Like a mud flap cut to size. Enjoy!

I put a rubicon steel front bumper, winch plate and a Warn Evo 10S winch on the front of my Mojave and have not noticed a change in handling or ride. I am surrounded by USFS dirt roads up here in the Grand Canyon and the Mojave continues to perform well on these roads. I purposely selected the synthetic line model to manage the weight.
Do you have a pic of your bumper setup? Very interested to see how it looks.

I had a very similar situation...one trip out by myself / no phone service / untold number of miles back to civilization...done deal. Need a bumper and winch.
Here is my finished project.

I’ve actually got a thread going on here about my Mojave and bumper/winch. My bumper and winch setup is around 175 pounds and i do hit the hydraulic bump stops when hitting potholes or speed bumps in a parking lot at low speeds (5mph). It’s not bottoming out, just kissing them, but i do feel it. That said i like the way the added weight feels on the road (more planted) and it hasn’t negatively affected the ride quality at speeds over 5mph.

Great post! I have the same bumper, bar & winch sitting in boxes in my garage waiting to go onto my '21 JTM. It looks top notch and the trail cam pic is perfect! Thanks!
