I notice the ride on mine is rough, always real rough in the first part of the morning. Almost like my tires have a flat spot. Mostly in the rear on the passenger side. Feel like something might be off...
I don’t have that issue, but it definitely creeks more the colder it gets.

Would someone be able to share some information on what else may be recommended to upgrade if I am looking to install the AEV 2" spacer lift specific to the Mojave. Thanks in advance!! I will be putting on 35" tires and 20" wheels at same time.

Front track bar and possibly some adjustable front lower control arms would just about do it. The AEV kit is pretty well done. 20" wheels suck off road but I guess they look pretty around town.

Any suggestions on what brand for both these items? Thanks for the information.

Consider getting the geometry correction brackets instead of lower control arms. Since you’re putting 20” wheels on I’m guessing you won’t be wheeling too hard so you won’t mind the brackets impeding on ground clearance. I also don’t really think a new track bar is all that necessary either.

Some of it depends on usage. I like the front track bar as the lift shifts body side to side from axle. MIne was about an inch off, easily corrected with adjustable track bar. The geometry correction brackets will work but not great off road as they hang down a bit. The adjustable control arms give a little more finite adjustability as well. About any brand will work depending on how much off road use, I used the Yeti track bar and Rock Krawler makes a few different price points of control arms.

Ok fellow Mojaveites  I'm getting ready to install an AEV 2" spacer kit with F&R Clayton adjustable track bars (rear TB with the bend to fit large spare tire) and swapping to a set of 5, 37x12.50x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's. Suspension kit & tire install will happen in my garage, followed by a shop alignment.

I'd like to keep with the stock Mojave 17x7.5 wheel since I really like them.....but, I *think* they're on the narrow side and an 8.5" to 9.5" wheel would probably work better in the long haul.

I've sifted thru numerous tire/wheel threads and can't seem to find what backspacing & offset works real well with a 37x12.50 and the slightly increased axle width of the Mojave (assuming I'm keeping stock front LCA for now, but will likely get adjustable in the not too distant future).

I'm trying to keep the wheels/tires tucked in as close to stock as possible, and I don't mind adjusting the steering stops modestly to help keep the tires from rubbing during max steering input.

I'm considering the Black Rhino Armory wheels in a 17x9.5, 5x5 WBP, 4.5" BS and -18 offset.

Will this wheel configuration get me where I want to be or would something different better suite my goals?

-18 offset will stick out a couple of inches. I think you will need to go on the plus side. The Stock Mojave is I think a +37 offset. I went with an AEV at +25 offset and that is pretty good, maybe less than an inch of poke. If your tire installer will do it the 12.5 will fit on stock wheels but quite a bit of bulge and some shops will not do.

Appreciate the input/gouge, that certainly helps.

+25 is perfect.

Cleaned up the Motobilt Hammer front bumper today and started spraying it with some Rustoleum primer. I went ahead and taped the mounting studs and threaded holes for the factory fog lights.

Since it was a little cold in the garage, I put a heat lamp next to the bumper to warm it up prior to spraying it. Seemed to work fine.

I finished applying two coats of primer on each side of the bumper. Next up is spraying at least two coats of black Hammered, Krylon Fusion.

Found a set of Arsenal matte black wheels in a size I should be happy with (17x8 5x127 +30mm offset/5.68" backspace). I ordered them today after I called to verify that there were 4 in-stock & was told they are. Website shows out of stock now.
