Not sure how much you all are into detailing but I hit the Mojave with these two chemicals today. My arms are a bit tired but she is looking good. Getting her all protected before our run to the ocean this week.

Absolutely love chemical guys stuff. I'm waiting for it to not be so blazingly hot before I do the same to mine. Looks amazing, good job.

I love the ceramic coat. I put two coats on this summer. Dirt washes right off.

I have been using these by turtle wax and love them so far. Like @DocMike said the ceramic stuff literally wipes the dirt right off. Then I’ll go back with a ceramic detailer sometimes and the dirt comes right off if I’m being picky and don’t feel like doing a full wash.

What's the benefit to ceramic coating. I hear about it but don't know anything about it. Why is it better than waxing?

Not an expert but from what I understand wax fills in the micro cracks in the paint but will eventually wear off quicker. Ceramic waxes do same but are made of nano metal particles that bind to the paint. They last longer and add more shine luster. All I know is that ceramic waxes are far superior for me. A professional ceramic coating is on another level.

Looks very nice...I tried C-guys under charriage cleaner and the yellowish general purpose cleaner they have...Both effective, but better than anyones else? I couldn't tell for sure.

I did my first waxing last month with Mopar's cleaner/wax product, easy on and off and I like the results.

This Ceramic stuff seems to be the "hot" item these days (across several brands). What is its advantages over say a good quality waxing and do you actually see a difference?

thx,

I used the old fashion turtle wax for decades, was always happy with it...I might try these on my next waxing which will be in November.

I've got a whole cart full of Adam's/Griot's/CG's products just waiting for some cooler weather to get here. Plan is to park it in the barn for a week while I work on paint correction and then it will get the full Adam's advanced graphene coating followed by layers of their other products.

The idea is to add an additional bonded protection layer on top of your clear coat which is then itself protected by whatever glaze/sealant/wax you put over top of it. Once it's on, it's on though (for the duration of it's intended life). Ideally, you would do paint correction first, which is the labor intensive part of it. You want the clear coat as perfect as possible before locking it in under the ceramic coating. This is why shops charge so much. The coating itself isn't bad, but getting the clear perfect takes some time.

Basically:
1. Strip Wash
2. Chemical Decontaminate
3. Clay bar
4. Wash
5. Paint correction (compounds and buffer)
6. IPA wash
7. Ceramic/graphene coating
8. Glaze
9. Sealant
10. Wax

After that, maintenance washes with a quick detailer after should be about all you need.

It's a lot of work up front but should make your life easier in the long run.
