Hey everyone!

I've been living with a potential issue with my hood scoop (see pictures). It's has a slight warp, maybe 1/8th of an inch in the middle. My wife didn't notice, but I do. Is this common? I was tempted to take it to the dealership, but haven't yet as it's a minor visual that I'm probably the only one who notices it. I wanted to see if anyone else has had similar fit issues, and whether or not I should ask them to replace it or if it's a common issue that I shouldn't worry about (or can fix myself).

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I don't have that hood to experiment with, but if it pops out you can just drop a small strip of 3m tape under the whole front end to stick down on.

I don’t have that and it would annoy me also , get it fixed! Just checked mine , picture isn’t real clear but no gap, it might be an overtightened faster but I bet the “warp” is permanent….Jack

I tried pressing it down from the hood and nothing seemed to 'catch' so I think it's a warp in the scoop itself. I'll look and see from underneath, but to be honest this is my first brand new vehicle in a long time and I'm concerned that I'll break something if I press to hard or in the wrong place. :)

There's nothing you can really do to fix it, the choice is either get it replaced or stick it down with glue or something. They make a glue specific for car emblems that should work well.

I would start with the dealer and see if you can get that piece replaced under warranty. If not, a piece of the 3M VHB tape should hold it down.
