Mojave + Mopar Lift ...

Just wanted to say thank you again to @dayusmc I finished the above mod today and it definitely is the way to go. I had originally drilled out my Fox 2.5 elites to fit my Mojave and when I took my shocks off to do this mod, I couldn't believe what I found. The metal sleeves were destroyed. You can see from the attached pic that the sleeves were so thin that they just collapsed into each other. So glad I did this mod.

Question, isn't the Mojave 1.5 inches taller than the Rubicon? The Mopar lift is 2 Inches over stock Rubicon height and on my Sport I got around 2.5" out of it.

Would you get 2 inches out of the MOPAR lift on the Mojave? or just .5 inches?

No.
But oddly, I've measured three brand new Mojaves. One was an X with A/Ts, the other a non-X Mojave with A/T tires and the third was an X with M/T tires.
Two of them sit within 1/8" of my Overland with a bit of a lift, the other with the M/Ts oddly sat almost an inch higher.
I measured frame to ground.
I originally measured an X because of concern about my snow plow brackets and so on. Since it sat the same as my Overland with about a 1.25" lift.
So, if it's supposed to sit higher than a Rubicon, that means my Overland is taller than a Rubicon - and that's not the case.
I don't know where the 1.5" taller comes from, but when i directly compare my Overland with new Mojaves sitting on a lot with my truck parked right next to the Mojave - there's no way.

A bit of a PITA. I first used a fresh blade in a utility knife to whittle the nylon bushing off, then a wire wheel to remove the remaining bits. Then I used a dremel cutting wheel, and carefully cut the metal sleeve. I did put a very minor "groove" in the metal bushing underneath, but couldn't find a way to avoid it completely. I'm not concerned about it, barely feel it with my fingernail. Thrilled with the end results!

1.5" taller doesn't come from anywhere. Mojave is supposedly/reportedly 1" taller than the Rubicon only in the front. Maybe that's no longer the case for 2024. Or more likely it was never true to begin with. I can see this as having been started by someone measuring a Rubicon with ATs against a Mojave with MTs.

Whereas other trucks, most notably the Ford F-150 Raptor, have Fox Shocks, Jeep also installs Fox hydraulic jounce bumpers in the front suspension. Better known as hydraulic bumpstops, think of them as a second set of shock absorbers. A typical bumpstop would be a piece of rubber designed to keep the axle from slamming into the frame when the suspension bottoms out after a big hit or jump. Hydraulic bumpstops keep the axle from hitting the frame and also slow down the axle's movement and absorb some of the force, giving the regular shock absorbers an extra hand with the worst impacts. The front end is also raised 1 inch to give the front suspension more room to move before it bottoms out. Taken from motortread magazine from 2020.

Right, I just wonder if anyone has bothered to measure production units on the lot to verify this was true.

Did your shock towers get smaller cause the bushings spilt and when you torque down shocks the tower got smaller and couldnt fit original sleeve between the tower.

Yes they did. Had to get in there with a crow bar and a block of wood to widen them back up.

How did the mopar 2” lift work out on the Mojave?
I just sold my 2020 Sport S and kept the mopar 2” lift I had on it. I was hoping there was a way to re-use it on my new 2024 Mojave but there isn’t much information out there.
the factory Mojave suspension is too soft, and there isn’t enough ground clearance for what I enjoy doing.
