Folks, Does anyone have a good explination for what this Standard feature on Mojave does exactly?

This is what I found on Google: "... while an Off-Road Plus button on the lower center of the dashboard allows drivers to take Gladiator to the next level of tractive capabilities. With a push of a button, drivers can adjust throttle, transmission shift points and traction control for peak performance on higher speed passes on sand terrain, as well as during low-speed rock crawling. "

Does this mean that driver can "pre-program" settings for throttle, shift points, and traction control, for high speed passing and activate together as needed by pushing a button? Or something else?

Thanks,
-Joe

I have been using it a lot with my Select-trac on. Running high speed dirt it helps keep the transmission in the peak powerband and loosens up the traction control a bit. I’m reasonably sure it still keeps some of the stability control or else I would of been in a ditch for sure. Even moving at speeds of 60+ I always felt very planted on the road. I’ll be trying this on snow for sure.

I have experienced similar findings to this, also in deep sand it revs high but right in the power band, and shifts really late holding 3rd to about 65 mph, mostly 1st and second most of the time.

I don't think you can adjust it, it just has more performance settings, it does hang in first and second a lot, I used it on the beach in 4H using the rear locker which requires offroad button pushed, on the beach, fairly slow under 25mph it annoyed me hanging in first so long that I did the manual shifting to second, problem solved.....Jack

Thanks for the info Wyofuy, Mellendic, and Jaxmax, it sound like the Gladiator does the performance enhancement autonomously (after the button is pressed). Additionally, it sounds like it gears it to stay in the powerband longer (but I am guessing also may hold back the speed some at the same time.)

I am glad it does something tangable ? , I was wondering if the words were just added to the Standard features list just as a form of "copywritting/marketing".
